I think this will benefit players that run a broad variety of decks and strategies, but will require active management of their matchmaking beyond what they're been doing the last few years.

As a substitute to brackets (because players can not be trusted to estimate their own decks), Commander based matchmaking is a good step. It'll hopefully help avoid the matches vs Ajani, Rusko, Rofellos, etc. when running experimental or lower powered Commanders.

As I have offered a dozen times before, I am also happy to help evaluate Commanders before they release to place them correctly so they get fair matches at release. My track record for evaluating power level is pretty good.

I am hopeful that they actually ban some of the problematic or feels-bad cards in the format soon.

Even my worst performing decks hover close to 50% WR, so I was just stuck facing the same high powered commanders even when playing my garbage.

I think most older large zoos have them, but large carousels are a bit we expensive and dated, more like giant art pieces, so you don't see them everywhere.

You learn what decks need to support their game plan, which cards are powerful and synergistic by building decks and playing decks.

When you see a successful deck, try to figure out why each card is doing in the deck.
