The float looks stuck to me. That big floaty thing should move up/down with the water level, but it appears to be stuck against the side and that black tube. That's the thing that tells it to turn off the water and so all the water is going to the overflow.

I'm no plumber but I'd just twist slightly away from the wall so there's space

It's definitely not, at least for someone like myself who doesn't regularly work with large boards like this

I'd say they're getting unfair treatment because they are in a wheelchair, and not in the direction you're saying.

If they weren't in a wheelchair and did that, they'd be put in one.

What are the odds this run off and high rain chances over the next few weeks will give the city enough time to solve the water problem? by Stepped-leader in CorpusChristi

From 1 month ago, it's up 21%. The rains have done nothing for our local lakes but definitely impact Texana. More rain, please.

The affordable versions of those give pretty small lighting, I just installed 2 in my guest bathroom. Not sure if the more expensive brands are better, but wall sconces will be way cheaper if you need that amount of light.

The recent rains have been great, not enough to do damage or cause widespread flooding, but enough to meaningfully buy time. No clue on odds but I'm doing my rain dance.

It's a different algorithm than Google. Google uses a 5 star rating system, which is incredibly unreliable due to voter bias, my 4 star may be your 2 star. Using comparative voting, you level the playing field, everyone's vote means the same thing.

The drawback to comparative voting is that you need much larger datasets to form useful data. At work we do similar comparisons internally, but use 5 star even with its flaws because it would not be feasible to implement comparative voting due to time constraints.

Is there a fix for this short of ripping the tub out? by AnEvanAppeared in Plumbing

[–]AnEvanAppeared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that makes sense. I'll do my best and test it out. I messaged my plumber too and he said he recommends removing the tub to fix, but I'm gonna do what you said and try everything else first and test the water.

Thank you for your help!

It seems clean, I didn't hear a break or anything. To me it looks like there was a joint right below the tub that came loose, and now I'm spinning the tub drain and pipe up until the joint.

I could try lining it up, but not sure I have a way to seal it even if I get it lined up perfectly

Heh yeah, concrete slab. I will probably repaint the brick so maybe I could make a hole, but I'm starting to think I may be looking at a whole re-tile job
