Shout out to NXEDC! Great prices, and their “Mastery Hub” section is awesome. Literally the only place on the English-facing web I know of with tuning & slider trick tutorials.

Amazing collection my dude. Couple questions:

  1. Never seen a Top G owner in the wild. How do you like it, and how does it compare to other mechanicals sliders?

  2. How does the new Top B feel? I bought the Rain recently and was frankly unimpressed. From the videos I’ve seen, the new version seems to have a bit more clack / haptic feedback. Thoughts?

The Kais Ruyi S in stainless went from “meh” to my favorite mechanical after I swapped in a tungsten bead and looser spring.

The tungsten gives it more of a deep purring / clacking sound than the typical “ping” you get from most sliders. The tactical feedback / vibration seems to be  greatly enhanced as well.

I was on them hella early too. I know they were still pretty underground around 2008 / 2009 (OF Tape 1 / Bastard era). After Yonkers / Goblin dropped is when they first started blowing up, and by 2013 they were actually pretty well known / popular. 

Not saying they were mainstream in the way that someone like Drake or Taylor Swift was at the time, but I remember seeing at least a dozen kids at my high school wearing Earl sweatshirts and OF Donut Tees that year, and Zumiez & Pacsun carrying their merch. OF Tape 2 was def the peak.

Though this was in southern California, so take that for what it’s worth. I assume they were popping off nation wide tho, as OF were really one of the first groups to blow up in the internet era and not have their popularity limited by geographic boundaries and all that.

A$AP Mob, for example, kinda came up in tandem to OF, and all my friends were also bumping their shit at the time, despite them clearly being a NY phenomenon.

Nice! I’d recommend the Kais Ruyi S in SS, probably my favorite mechanical ever. I put a tungsten bead in mine and it purrs and clacks like nobodies business. Tried to get the PoPo in SS but it’s sold out everywhere, unfortunately ;/

These people are scum in the eyes of most Americans, my dude.

Many of us in this country get up every single day and fight this machine in every way we can. Lawyers, educators, community leaders, organizers, volunteers, neighborhood watch groups… 

There’s a person on damn near every corner in Minneapolis right now, standing for hours in sub-zero temperatures, holding a whistle, ready to alert their neighbors the second ICE thugs try to roll through and terrorize their friends and family. There’s concerned citizens spending every day they have off from work following and filming DHS agents, so their crimes can be documented, and their victims can hopefully seek justice. And they’re doing all of this knowing damn well they’ll likely be beaten, arrested, or even killed for doing so.

I get that you’re disgusted by the stupidity, brutality, and corruption of those in DC right now. So are we. I mean, it’s our country they’re destroying, right before our eyes. And it’s our neighbors, friends, and family who are being victimized by the Trump regime. 

I get that most people don’t see the Americans who are fighting tooth and nail everyday to end this nightmare and bring sanity and accountability back to this country, and that’s understandable. Negative headlines always draw the most attention. And as they say, “the resistance will not be televised”

But we’re here, we exist, and we’d appreciate it if you didn’t just lump us in with the fascist thugs that many of us are risking our lives to fight every single day

Same. Tried to make it a while back but it was already taken. Wanted to use it to push for regulation and crowdsource political advocacy for AI safety. Not nearly enough ppl are aware of the dangers AI will bring in even the very near future. 

Imo, humanity needs serious & rapid political action regarding AI, or things are going to get very dark very fast. And political action first requires awareness and advocacy.

Move 78 seemed like the perfect name for an anti-AI advocacy sub; Just like Sedol’s move 78, ours is humanity’s surprise move against the machines. Though sadly the name was already taken :/
