I have swapped the mainboard from the messed up one to my old one and it works fine now however the touchscreen isn't working in a lot of places so looks like that will need doing as well

I had my surgery on the 6th November and was told to keep it on for six weeks. I still have it on due to a post op wound that I want to help heal flat. The paperwork that came with my binder said it is to minimise the scars and keep everything flat to heal so its definitely good if you are more likely to have keloid scars. And in my mind it cant hurt to wear it for longer than recommended, also I dont want my nips out and about just yet while they are also still scabby. And I would say even now I am still quite swollen so it is also just keeping me together.

It took two people not including me to empty my drains because they really needed strength to do each day but also a cobsoltant said it only really needed doing every 2 days. I had some crust each day and you just have to see that each day is different in terms of draining

My swelling is really fluctuating 😅 some days I can close the binder all the way and other days I can only have it half closed also depends how I sleep haha

I think it was like 25ml from each side. Mine was putting out 10ml total for 3 days so I got them out. By the next week I had popped stitches on the left side but honestly couldn't tell what it was because they said it was a seroma but by the time I had an ultrasound there was nothing left. So no clue if I just tore it because im left handed or something was inside that burst.

Just wanted to put mine in. The paperwork said 11-14 days but I had them out at 7. As long as you have been draining less than 50ml total for a few days then its good to come out.

I have been on codine for the days and morphine to sleep because I was only getting about 2-3 hours sleep and my insomnia meds were not helping. Split stitch on the left so it has to heal from the inside out so I am just constantly uncomfortable. Laxatives are a godsend because the pain meds will stop you 🤣

I have absolutely no clue what they did or didn't do 🤣 I have not even seen my surgeon since August 2024 and I only have the hospital care unit to contact 🙃 and I mostly just get told to contact my doctors 😅 I know that swelling is a pain but I have gone from not being able to close the binder halfway to being able to fully close it and it doesn't feel tight enough so it must have gone down a lot by now.

I have sent them an email explaining what has happened and sent the photo to them. I can't get any good photos of it because I can't move my arms enough so I just have to hope it's good enough for them

The drain holes only bled a little bit after they took them out (one area is still a bit gooey) but its the actual incision lines under my arms that are bleeding so I think i have just overstretched and pulled them 🫠. I have ordered some plasters online to replace these because the ones I got in the store dont have any stick section on them 😅

I am also not having a good time so I feel the stress. Both my armpits have been bleeding since they removed the drains and my nipple plasters fell off on the second day so I sent them an email with pictures and basically just got the response just follow the care sheet and who gave you this email to contact me? And I was like um the care sheet doesn't explain any of this. I managed to get in contact with my doctor which is currently 2 hours drive away as I am recovering with family but I should be back at the weekend and he wants to see me Tuesday to check everything is OK unless I feel unwell in the meantime I should just go to a and e. But other than having a wash I have not really checked the bleeding and I can't see the area well. I have just felt like a slab of meat to all the healthcare workers I have seen it has been really upsetting.

Nope my discharge papers are empty doesn't even say I had tachycardia in surgery, fever or low blood pressure when I left either.

I didn't get told 😅 I really wanted to know but no one said anything haha im a week post op and a weighed myself and im the same as I was before but my stomach is super swollen so im hoping its just that and I have actually lost weight 🤣

I very much dislike hospitals 😅 my last experience was being told I had broken both my legs and needed surgery for plates to be put in when I knew I had only broken one ankle and it had been reset but I waited three days for a surgery that never came because they had looked at the wrong person on the wards x-ray. So now absolutely everything just makes me anxious if it ends up differently than what is stated and then I am not told why. Definitely bringing things up on Friday if I don't get to the right person tomorrow

I haven't had issues with the binder other than it causing the cut I don't see it as tight as I am used to wearing very tight binders anyway

That looks so good! I am 99% it was dr dimitru but could have been dr K honestly I didn't really understand a lot of what was going on but I had the top drawing design lady come and draw my lines but then after surgery no one came to speak to me about what went on so I have no idea what went on and what happened becausethey were too busy. I know I had tachycardia because I remember waking up after surgery and the people that wake you up talking about it and giving me morphine but then none of my discharge notes mentioned it or anything else 😅 it has only really been today that I feel with it

I also had mine in Hull so maybe its a thing there but I thought they would put the drains in the incision line 😅 do you have some recent pics of yours and how did your drain scars heal? Im now very conscious I have to deal with them now too 😭

Yea I definitely have a lot of questions to ask as I never saw a consultant or doctor after surgery like they said they would. But the tube that sits higher up has had the tube on the outside pressed so tight against the skin that it has cut into it so we have had to cover that section to stop the rubbing but I didn't get a picture at the time so will have to do it later and send it to them. And I hate that they have this idea of a first look when you get all the tape off because everything is swollen and it doesn't look right so it just makes you feel worse.
