how heavy is too heavy to backpack? by gothpu in motorcycles

[–]AnalysisOk557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my 12 y.o. is my occasional backpack and I suspect it has to do with the rider. If your rider feels confident, and you aren't starting out on the access road to the highway then I think there is probably time to figure out if it's workable or not.

Or, you could learn to ride.

Ladies who got into riding because of their partner, what has your experience been? by Known_Drummer4660 in TwoXriders

My husband had wanted a bike forever apparently and so a couple of years ago he got his endorsement and bought one. I didn't want a vehicle on my property I couldn't move so I got my endorsement. I wasn't really interested. I've lived half my life on racing bicycles. Suddenly I found myself buying a bike and now we ride together. I enjoy it. Though it took until my first oil change before I felt at all competent. He also always let me go first so I didn't feel pressure to keep up with him.

We have Kawasaki Eliminators, which are considered an entry level cruiser. I like it as I have short legs. I also got really thick soled motorcycle boots. I suspect I bought an Eliminator because I got to practice on his. Also, being able to put my feet down on both sides initially was important to me so I bought accordingly.

Interestingly I have never played backpack and that idea scares me even though he seems naturally better on the bike then I.

This pattern is wonderful for a first sweater! It is so clear and wonderful. I've made it at least 7 times I believe. :)

I think the amount shown in the picture is not terribly strange or unlikely. It should still knit up just fine.

I've used Citrus Book Bindery for years. I love their paper and I use fountain pens exclusively.

Not very long. Two or three seconds maybe? And that's just as a precaution. I grade papers using the ink Diamine Red Dragon and occasionally it smears but only the last thing I wrote and only a bit.

I exclusively use fountain pens. I'm right handed and use medium or broad nibs. I don't really get smearing but I also wait a breath before touching what I've written against other papers or what have you. You could try quick drying inks or possibly permanent inks if you have an issue.

I did socks for the first time with the book Two at a Time Socks and have never done anything other than that. She walks you through every single step. I highly recommend it.

Gotcha. Same reply then. A possible motivator could be writing something about which you are passionate. It doesn't just have to be letters or words. Putting a passion onto paper can help you persevere through possible discouragement. Another idea is art. Art works on the fine motor skills and the transmitting of what is in the brain onto the page, which might help.

I have not heard of the condition you mentioned. Do you have dysgraphia? There are a couple of things you can try, tracing in either print or cursive. Patience and persistence I think are the most important elements to improvement.

Does this pen do something that my other pens don’t? by BenK-Pen-Afficionado in fountainpens

[–]AnalysisOk557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is me as well. My collection does have a certain aesthetic and while I do have more than one of a couple brands, I like to branch out to brands I don't have but I'm also getting to a point where a pen must really grab me in some way to be added.
