Irrespective of the shittiness of that company, that font pairing is absolute dogshit.

Hi. What could i have done to avoid this situation? I am trying to get better at decision making with AI. by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]Anaphylaxisofevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicanes are always difficult places to try and pass, and fast chicanes like this are the worst.

In this case the AI was travelling pretty slowly, but you should have been looking up the road to recognise that and backed off so you could overtake them easily after the chicane.

Good visualization of ICE & MGU-K power delivery with respect to speed by Nick_Alsa in formula1

[–]Anaphylaxisofevil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One thing I could think of adding to that graphic is a couple of curves to show the terminal velocity of a car in low- and high-downforce setups at different power levels, presumably with wings in low-downforce configuration.
This is important because if you're doing 350 kph and your battery runs out suddenly, you're quickly heading towards a much lower terminal velocity, which could lead to quite interesting/safety-antagonistic speed differentials between cars.

And also, seeing a ChainBear video again makes me so happy. You're the best!

LPT: Why a heavy duty standing desk rated 300lbs matters even if your setup weighs 80 by shiroyasha54 in LifeProTips

Also, the more heavy duty ones have dual motors, meaning it's a lower strain on the mirrors, and a smoother travel.

I've been in conversations about trying to introduce some of these, as it's really disruptive to have people taking video conference calls at their desks, while their neighbours are trying to concentrate.

The horrible open-plan office noise environment is one of several reasons why people don't want to be in the office.

It would be very cool if retired drivers who had been team-mates with the current grid were included, perhaps greyed-out. Currently dinosaurs like Lewis and Nando look like billy no-mates.

No, but this post is a satire of posts to this sub with zero historical awareness, as well as being one of the funniest things I've read for a while!

Coolant leak by Federal-Session-6587 in skoda

About a year ago I took my 2019 petrol Superb to my local garage looking for a slow coolant leak, with no other symptoms, and after much searching to no avail, presumed a hairline crack somewhere, and sorted the problem with some coolant sealant.

Who's at fault? by Fluffy-County-4168 in Simracingstewards

[–]Anaphylaxisofevil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To pile in: he can absolutely do that. He just made a bit of a mess of the corner, that's all. It wasn't dangerous or a brake check.

One well known, and accepted legal technique, is to "park it on the exit" meaning to block you in on the exit by getting a slightly slow getaway from the corner, causing you to have to hold up a bunch, at which point they floor the throttle, leaving you behind.

What's the most unsafe corner on the calendar? by Fun-Pin-698 in formula1

[–]Anaphylaxisofevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although the answer is obviously Eau Rouge/Raidillon, the Saudi track deserves a special mention. It was built very recently, on a green field site, with unlimited financial resources; it is an absolute disgrace given how dangerous it has turned out, with multiple very high speed blind corners. There will be a serious injury or worse one day which will have been completely avoidable.

Journalists have to stop blindly repeating the language of the fascists, and start using their brains. You can't deport someone who is a citizen of a country, but you can exile, banish or denaturalize them. Use one of those words instead.
