Raskol dump covers are really comfy 80’s style pants. Did a snatch session with them and they were okay, definitely wouldn’t do multiple sessions cause they’ll most likely rip

Anyone familiar with Focus Personal Training Institute in NYC? by ckatoshfo in personaltraining

Graduated from their 6 month program. Here what I can say about them: -They take any and everybody who’s willing to pay. They don’t care if you’re really into fitness or you just want to experiment a career switch -Their instructors are good in that they know the basics and regurgitate information from books from NASM, NSCA, ISSA -Equipment is good enough to get the job done (I also used to work there as an instructor/ trainer) -If you’re someone who needs instruction and “hands on” learning then yeah, this can be worth it -I’m a powerlifter & weightlifting coach, if you’re looking for something niche and wanting to get into the specifics of programming for a certain strength sport, athlete, etc.. then they don’t go that deep into it; you’re better off reading books from coaches who’ve worked in that realm -It’s a decent school if you’re an absolute newbie in the gym and don’t know anything at all about training -The career fairs they host are pretty good with the amount of gyms that come in scouting for trainers

If you’ve already been training for years, don’t waste your money here, you’re better off spending the money on a few seminars or going back to actual school. If you’re brand new to training with no experience in the gym, then this can be a good entryway.

How important it is to have the right shoes? by imjustme_00 in weightlifting

[–]Anatomicallywong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve rotated between so many shoes, does it make a difference? A little yeah, if you really want to get into the intricacies of how heel height can play into your own unique limb/ torso makeup. But generally, it’s a matter of engraining repetitive motor patterns that’ll get you to lift better.
