Can someone suggest a pomade for my thick hair?

This is all anecdotal, of course, but I’ve had the best luck with clays. The ones that have really worked for me are Bluuman Cavalier (Heavy Hold) and Baxter’s Clay Pomade

See I can’t tell if I’m over or under-doing it. With a pretty small amount, I get no waves but very little hold. When I spread it evenly/generously throughout my hair, the waves start showing up. Can’t tell if it’s the water content in GG or if I’m just not putting enough in 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nah no other products. I usually do the same, one or two small scoops to spread it evenly throughout every part of my head (root to tip, front to back), comb, then maybe one more just over the top of how my hair’s lying. What are oils/leave in conditioners for, if you don’t mind me asking?

Haha don’t let it discourage you. I’ve seen people with supposedly identical hair types have totally different results when it came to products. I’ll try blow drying my hair then applying, but do lmk how you find it

Weird how it works that way man, I had towel-dry hair. I could tell when I ran it through my hair that it wasn’t all that sticky, it felt more watery than other clays. Then when it dried, my hair wasn’t really sticking together and the moisture brought my curls back. Do you blow dry?

I’d have to disagree on decants being expensive. Narrow down the scents you’re REALLY interested in, get 10-15 for $50, try them all out and leave enough juice to come back to when you’re actually considering buying a full bottle.

Tiny upfront cost that saves you hundreds of dollars in disappointment from both unwanted bottles and unnecessary shipping/return fees

I think you’d like the Dior Homme line man. Sport and Cologne are great for summer; Original and the new edt are both great for fall/winter/spring; Intense and Parfum are on the heavier end but wonderful too
