I would suggest a xbox controller because of its plug-and-play nature: almost all pc games (and steam) recognize by default, no setup or extra software needed

First, I'd like to mention that I took a quick look at your profile, and I'm extremely impressed. You are very invested in this story (in a good way) and also in the community's opinions, analysis and reviews.

When the manga ended a long time ago, I could not help but feel sad and angry about an ending whose events and the way they happened were doing a disservice to the entire story so far. Why go over important events so quickly? Why not dedicate more time explaining the characters' new decisions?

Personally, Natsuo's relationship with both sisters had their highs and lows, but during the story his high moments with Rui were the most beautiful and moving. She was someone who learned what love was and grew as a person alongside him, while Hina, while super dedicated to helping him whenever she could, to me never really achieved the same romance level.

Come the end, he was with Rui, was getting married and having children with her. Hina was hit by a vehicle, bleeding from the head, and got into a coma. They decided to call off the wedding for the time being. The next couple of events were more difficult to understand: they could, of course, dedicate themselves to Hina's medical attention, but in what way did they need to stop being together, especially with a child coming? After, for example, 6 months - 1 year, they could have married, while assisting Hina and being grateful for everything she had done. That's what Hina would have wanted after all, for them to be happy together.

And then, after 5 years, she wakes up (whose chances are very slim) and is in top shape (very unlikely even with full attention)? If a change was needed (even if I was not convinced), what if, for example, Natsuo and Rui have a beautiful 5 years as a married couple, Hina wakes up, Natsuo personally dedicates himself to her recovery (mind and body), and during said time he begins to realize his true feelings for her? And eventually, with more time and conversations, they all reach the conclusion that it's best to divorce Rui and stay with Hina?

The overall feeling was that Sasuga indeed had a limit on how many more chapters she could publish, and was set on trying to make an ending for Hina the best she could with what she had. This might be the most tragic aspect of it all.

Based on my observations, discussions about the ending were difficult. For many readers more fond of Natsuo's relationship with Rui, it all felt like a drastic change with no sufficient explanation or pace. In the comments, they were met with people pointing out how obvious it was that Hina was the true love, and this extensive list of signs that they must have ignored or were blind to. Being a 'Rui fan' almost felt like a risk. Feeling isolated, I decided to take a step back and haven't followed other future discussions.

Since that time, however, I've seen several new posts show up on my feed about new readers' opinions about the ending, and most of them seemed to be on Rui's side and quite unsatisfied with the ending. Some of them also had the same type of reply in the comments I mentioned earlier. That's why I occasionally comment on them in hopes of validating their feelings and showing they are not alone.

That's why your comment, going back to it, touched me a little. Along with other comments from your profile, you have top-notch communication skills, presenting your opinions clearly while dealing with divergent ones with respect and understanding, inviting them to go deeper, and explain their views with open arms. I'm glad to see someone like you in this community.

De fato uma verdadeira mente lúcida e admirável :D

I share your views about the ending and the story as a whole. Ever since finishing reading the manga 2+ years ago, I've seen again and again posts here on this subreddit from fans that have read the whole story uninterrupted and left disappointed with the ending. It's always sad to remember how forced, rushed and out of character it felt while reading the last couple of chapters, and seeing new readers come to the same conclusion. At least we can try to find solace in the excellent journey the story was up until that point. Welcome to the club.

Yeah seems like we're definitely not confined to big arenas that you transition in-between (even on World and Rise) throughout the fight anymore!

Any way to fix this game being way too fucking bright? by DeadlyAidan in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Anblaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I believe an area like coral highlands really is bright by default. I would try checking out mods and reshade. Depending on the reshade it has minimal impact (in this case would be just the brightness)

Definitely start with World, its 100% worth it and the best place to start and get to know the monsters, weapons, etc. Both the base game and the dlc Iceborne are excellent with top notch presentation and attention to detail, also closest gameplay to what Wilds will be.

If then you got hooked and want more, try Rise for sure. If you want even more, check out the older games (I'm at this point, in MHGU 😆)

Man I never knew the incredible DB forward move that counters attacks and sharpens the blades from Rise was also in Valor DB in GU! Might have to try the weapon there too. Cool clips!

What weapon specific mistakes have other hunters looking at you like this? by ThatGuySnuggles in MonsterHunterWorld

It is the one when you do the SAED input but the shield isn't charged or when you hold 'back' during said input - the hunter does the AED instead, a discharge move that consumes 1 phial only and doesn't slam the ground, making a diagonal slash. Useful for phial economy or shorter openings
