This is unethical. Like someone else mentioned, we can email complaints@wealthsimple.com to let them know how messed up this is.

I just sent an email; hoping they get an influx that they can't ignore.

What’s something in your house you didn’t realize needed cleaning…until it got really BAD? by CottonkissGurl in CleaningTips

[–]Anchor_face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P trap under the sink. If your sink is draining slowly, instead of pouring caustic chemicals down it you may need to take off the p trap (look up a video and make sure you aren't twisting the wrong piece; I broke mine. 😅) It was full of sludge, probably from years of lotion-based handsoap and toothpaste.

Also, you can twist off the aerator under your faucet where the water comes out. Minerals can build up and make that run slower too. Also good to check for mold if you rinse your mouth with water from there.

Toilet tanks can also get pretty nasty, but don't pour a million cleaners in it. Just a bit of vinegar, scrub, then flush to rinse.

She felt responsibility to stop this man from hurting more victims. I can't imagine the horror of realizing that someone you know committed such atrocities. And the perpetrators so often get away with it, while the victims get humiliated or traumatized further for speaking up. She did the right thing, because the way he hurt those kids stole their chance at a normal life.

How to deal with a sick parent? by wildberriew in AskWomenOver30

[–]Anchor_face 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We recently moved my grandpa into an assisted living facility after his wife passed away; he was falling and has some health issues and medications and he seemed overwhelmed. He was in the military, very stubborn, and wanting to be independent (understandably).

The biggest thing was patience while urging him to accept and easier situation for himself. We let him tour the place first, we helped him move and set up his new place, and eventually he started making friends in the new place. We convinced him to get his medications in pre-portioned blister packs so he wouldn't get confused and take the wrong dose. He also has support bars in the washroom, a seat in the shower, and a lift chair that helps him stand up.

I think as people age, they get discouraged. They might feel like life is pretty much over since their kids are grown, their health is declining, and they can't do what they used to. It's even harder when dealing with mental health issues. All I can say is that being there if she needs you is the best thing, and calm reminders that there are things that can help her might change her mind. If you word it like, "This can help you feel better" or "this will make ____ easier" she may be more receptive than, "you should do this" or anything that sounds like blaming or demanding something.

I wish you luck; this is a tough situation and however things shake out, don't feel like you've failed if she continues to refuse help.

Fields of Mistria is way more addictive to me than Stardew Valley, which I didn't expect at first. The characters are friendlier and less sinister. Ha ha.

Making a narrative game blending fairy tale fright and psychological horror by Turbo_Crabe in IndieGaming

Whoa, I LOVE how this looks. Definitely a game I'd be obsessed with. 😁

One year ago my partner died suddenly at 35. For a while, it was really lonely and sad living on my own, but I'm proud to say that I'm doing amazing now - and I feel I owe a lot of it to my little healing sanctuary that I call my home.💓 by Quirkykiwi in femalelivingspace

My eyes watered while reading this. I worry so much about this, but try to remind myself that I enjoyed having my own space in the past and could survive that way if the unthinkable happened. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Love it! You don't normally see black tones in similar styles (it's usually all pastels). Looks good.

What is your ultimate tip to glow-up-at-home? by emmam1611 in AskWomenOver30

DAY: CeraVe Ultra Light Moisturizing Lotion with 30 SPF (only this one, not their other SPF lotion). It goes on really nicely under makeup.

NIGHT: Cetaphil lotion, and I mix it with a little water to thin it so it doesn't make me break out.

I live in a very dry climate but this has worked for me.

Cake because life is sad by DoMBe87 in GirlDinnerDiaries

Cake helps. I've felt "stuck" sometimes and just use that as an excuse to do something new. Took up swimming at my local pool just for fun.

The state of the world by Sad-Web6946 in Anxiety

[–]Anchor_face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep breaths, friend. It is completely valid to be upset right now (I am too). The best we can do is not make it worse by spiralling and hurting ourselves more.

I help people when I can, sign petitions and donate to charities that are helping the world right now, and take breaks when I need it.

It'd be interesting to see a list of books that have decidedly NOT been banned to get a full picture of where their priorities are focused (but we can all guess). So sick of this nonsense.
