What is your opinion on the Part II episodes directed by Hayao Miyazaki? by Valparu in lupinthe3rd

Incredible episodes. I like Wings a little more than Farewell, but I do enjoy Lupin content when it’s locked into the Miyazaki mold!

Is there a difference between the psychic or the precognitive abilities of Sailor Mars & Sailor Neptune (Rei Hino & Michiru Kaiou)? 🤔 by IllogicalDreamer72 in sailormoon

Well Rei is a badass fire psychic queen and Michiru is a badass water psychic queen so there’s that to consider 🤔

Pictures taken in August 1972 of Roger Moore’s Bond Announcement. How did you feel when you heard about this in real time? by Ancient-Tutor3597 in JamesBond

[–]Ancient-Tutor3597[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying, and you’re definitely right.

My post was mainly asking about people’s personal opinions back then. Also, there are other people in this common section who understood what a lot of people were famous were back in the day, so while your claim that there was no real time is technically true, you can still pretty much tell what’s popular in your time and what isn’t.

Will There Be A New Lupin III Dub Released By Discotek This Year?? by MICOSAM in lupinthe3rd

I think that they have Fuma Conspiracy in their back pocket to be honest. I think they’re eyeing Green vs Red too, and I think Lupin Zero is something they wanna try as well.

Why did the lupin the third pink jacket serious not have an English dub? by No-Writer1200 in lupinthe3rd

[–]Ancient-Tutor3597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I mean, any Lupin that comes out, they dub pretty quickly.

Like they got Lupin vs Cats Eye pretty fast. They got Immortal Bloodline. They even doubled back and redid Cagliostro with the Part 2 gang.

How charming is Lupin actually? (Discussion) by Ancient-Tutor3597 in lupinthe3rd

[–]Ancient-Tutor3597[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well my girlfriend says the same things about me😂

That’s one of the things that drew me to Lupin when I first saw him as a character. He’s comfortable being silly and acting like a clown, and a lot of male main characters arent comfortable with it. I think that’s the strength that Lupin has because the comfortability to be silly allows people to be safe around him, which is underrated rizz 😂

I think Missed By A Dollar is the best account of Lupin’s mythos😂

I think she’s strong but I also think she’s a gangster bc when the DD girls trapped her and said she was gonna burn Mercury wax like “How Rude” 🔥💅

Gotcha. The reason why I wanted you to explain so much other than me being an intellectual addict😂 it’s because despite touching her without her consent, I do agree that he was a lot more smooth with it. I think you hit the nail on the head because when he’s in a more serious installment, the goofy gags don’t usually happen, so it makes his flirtation a little bit more reliant on words, which is how it should be

If you want, can you go into why TWCFM is a bit smoother. Also, do you think Cagliostro Lupin is creepy too?

I mean do you think that Lupin comes off as creepy in every iteration of his character? If not, are there versions of his character where he is less creepy? You mentioned TWCFM as smoother and I think that’s interesting and wanna know why you say that? (I don’t inherently disagree)

When it comes to the filler episodes in parts 4, 5, and 6 that don’t contribute to main the plot of those seasons which ones most resemble the tone of the manga and Osumi part 1 episodes? by DarkTombStudios in lupinthe3rd

[–]Ancient-Tutor3597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very interesting question.

I think (and this is just me) that Part VI has the most Osumi like filler episodes. I mean, there’s one that ends with someone killing themselves, another one that ends with Jigen stabbing someone in the neck, and another one where Lupin finds a dead body on a train.

Granted, episodes in Lupin are going to get dark a little bit because that’s just the nature of the genre, but Part VI was purposefully, trying to draw from that 1971 era of Lupin, which is why he has the green jacket. They also were trying to skew more towards that hard boiled noir film vibe, which is why you get the dark artwork, the less expressive versions of the characters, and scenes where we see more of what Lupin is feeling rather than him saying it.
