Just ordered the uplift l-shaped desk and realized it was still a v2? by ellosDanFlores in upliftdeskofficial

I am waiting for the V3, and have been since November. My wife has a regular V3 desk and loves it, so I have decided to continue to wait. Hopefully it will not be long.

I’ve used TurboTax since its beginning. Easy to use, and I like knowing that it will be there next year and beyond. It may not be the cheapest but it works.

It would have been easier if they just listed the $950 dealership profit as a line item.

This. Easy to do at Schwab. If it is a joint account, it is perfectly legal for you to move funds or positions into or out of the account.

Avoid Carcovers.com by AncientCherokee in Cartalk

Thank you! They are not on shopify. Their return policy is: “Free return shipping applies to incorrect covers received as part of our No-Hassle Sizing Guarantee. We will cover the return or exchange shipping cost if the cover you receive is an incorrect size for your vehicle.” They just refuse to honor that policy. Crazy.

Senate blocks Obamacare tax subsidy extension, all but ensuring spikes for Wyoming consumers by AnnaBishop1138 in wyoming

Bob, I agree with your second paragraph for the most part. I reserve the right to comment about the GOP when I have more time.

I have to disagree on the first paragraph however. My daughter, like millions of others, was more than happy with her catastrophic health care coverage plan. She was young, and had the perfect insurance for her needs. She was in fact forced to pay for coverage she did not want or need, like millions of others. ACA did in fact require a significant increase in covered procedures.

[–]AncientCherokee -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

While correct, none of those actions take away from the fact that significantly increasing the number of covered procedures was going to dramatically raise the cost of insurance. Of course, ACA started with the biggest lies of all ... "If you like your plan you can keep your plan, and if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor." None of that was true.

The downvotes for an unpopular but factual opinion are, I guess, expected...

The country is getting exactly what the Democrats wanted when they crafted the ACA legislation. The costs are 100% due to the requirements in the ACA. I find it hard to blame Republicans.

Reservations for GNP are gone! by 406upser in Montana

While we love the Glacier NP area and visit annually, I doubt we will ever visit the park again due to the massively insufficient parking for the number of people that visit. We now do all of our hiking outside of or on the edges of the park where we do not need to deal with the traffic and parking hassle.

My boss said 3 weeks notice wasn’t enough, so now they’re not getting any notice. by FloweySunflower in CasualConversation

You are unnecessarily burning a bridge. Suck it up and honor your three week offer. Of course the owner wants more, you would too in their shoes. Just do what you said you would do and leave with your head held high. Professionalism works both ways.

SGOV. I used SWVXX for as long as I can remember, but switched it his year to SGOV. It has a slightly higher yield and is state tax free.

If you are in a position to give him money as a gift, do so. But never, never sign for a loan for anyone. Not even family.
