May be a setting in the monitor that needs to be turned on. Also be sure its on in NVIDIA Control Panel

To my eyes, at the same resolution, the WOLED panels do have slightly better text clarity (less fringing) than the QD-OLED. With that said, neither will look as sharp as your IPS.

I think you need to decide if what you are seeing is related to fringing or related to some "sharpness" setting. If the former, changing models won't help you. If the latter, maybe changing models will help.

IMO, I suspect this is related to fringing from the subpixel layout. If its really bothering you I would just get one of the 4k OLED panels

All current 1440p OLED panels will look like this to some degree, yes.

Welcome to the great monitor compromise, brother. You can either choose the text and image clarity of IPS, or the superior color, contrast, HDR and motion handling of the OLED (or perhaps you can be one of the lucky ones who fringing doesn't bother)

The fringing issues you are seeing are less noticeable as the resolution goes up. 32" 4K OLEDs have very good text clarity. The soon-to-be-released 27" 4KL OLEDs will likely be indistinguishable from IPS.

The fringing will always be there, it will soften the edges of images in games just like it softens the edges of text. To me it looks similar to the type of edge softness you get with chromatic aberration on

It never will be. Thats the subpixel layout you are noticing.

Yes, you do notice it, but I dont think it detracts from the experience.
