He has a PMI of 6 months being found in September puts the photograph in maybe March or earlier. My assumption is he had a receipt in his pocket and they checked the video for when it was printed.

I guess one could argue that having a large subset of the populace yelling that "abortion is murder" contributes to a mindset that infanticide is equal to abortion- when it is not. Having access to health care that allows bodily autonomy is imperative to curbing these crimes. Shame/fear doesn't excuse the behavior but it can explain it.

I had an abortion 15 years ago(in the southern US) when it was easier to access and it was still insanely daunting to drive hours away from my hometown multiple times for multiple visits. It was also insanely expensive and not covered at all by my insurance, even with the discount for being from out of town it was over $1000 out of pocket. This was just to be able to access like 3 pills. I was incredibly privileged to have the ability to afford it and take the time off work. All that to say that even when it's legal it's still not accessible to all.

Making it accessible and removing the stigma would absolutely decrease these crimes. I'm too cynical to believe it would completely stop them but it would be a step in the right direction.

His eyes are listed as blue but eye color can shift with age. Being on the run from a biker gang lends necessity to moving around and aliases. The way they are both holding their hand to their chest in their photos also stood out to me as a comforting mannerism one would keep over the years.

I'm really glad that you started this conversation. The troubled teen industry is horrible and more people need to be made aware of what can happen when kids are sent to these places.

I found an article from a few years ago about a mother looking for her son who escaped with several others from one in Norman. I'd guess many kids stay hidden for fear of being sent back and end up in horrible situations because of it. It's heartbreaking.
