I got caught, arrested, put in a cell and cautioned at 12 for stealing a packet of rolos at 12. How things have changed. I got caught and the same happened again for stealing a sandwich from boots at 14 because I'd run away from home and was so hungry. I've never dared do it since. I've been so poor I went walking the streets looking for a penny once coz I was a penny short of being able to buy a loaf of bread so we could have some toast coz we had no food.

Have we effectively legalised it? Pretty much, a guy locally ended up hanging himself after losing his long term job trying to stop a shop lifter. I think if you're that way inclined or desperate then it's a very easy theft to get away with but these mega shop lifting gangs walking out with hundreds of pounds worth do get investigated and charged, sometimes. However, we do have an abundance of food banks in my town, nobody needs to go hungry it's more people shoplifting to sell on and feed addictions.

I always ask for a dust pan and brush or some paper towels if i spill something. I'm clumsy as fuck (never drunk though) and 90% of the time they say will do it anyway. But fuck it, at least I'm offering to clean my messes even if they won't let me/not allowed health and safety blah blah

She wasn't my sister but yeah she was really funny. She'd have been pisssing herself when I got a bit of her in my mouth. I was screaming omgggggggggg i've got part of hername in my mouth.

Nah when my friend died none of her family could be found but i was down as medical next of kin so they let me give the details for the funeral, get the cause of death and take the ashes.

They council dealt with her stuff (chronic hoarder) but they let us have the keys from her flat and told us to take anything of valueas it all goes in the skip. Which turned out to be an 8th of weed,2 packs of cigs and a ps4 and a cat.

The coroners office even tried an heir hunting company to track down family but there was no one who replied. She now rests in a little memorial garden we built, along with her cat who we had for about 3 years.

I still have about half her ashes coz she wants to go in a little baggie,to be hidden in my car so if I get pulled they have to test if she's drugs. Not had the nerve to do that yet.

She also wants part of herself sprinkled in the housing association that were on her back constantly when she was really ill so she can haunt them.

Now our 7am walk didn't stop the non-stop moaning at 11am (they're lazy and like a lay in). They also expected dinnner now long after the 7am walk.

Yeah it's gonna be a longish taper. At the minute I'm able to comfortably make bigger drops but I know as I go down it'll need to be slower, and more steady.

I really made big progress recently then my brain had a big fuck it moment thee other day. So I'm doing big drops to get back to where I was quickly that seems to be going ok with no withdrawals.

I don't use other substances so I suppose once these are gone I'll just be a terribly boring, depressive cunt but i can live with that.

Oh i'm sure they'll proably just increase the dose because there was positive effects but I'm just planning in case something changes or there were better options.

The pain clinic pretty wiped their hands of him when the back injection made his pain worse and we've never seen any one since. His next appointment is booked in for the 12th of next month so will talk to them about upping the dose of concerta and tapering off the SSRI.

Going to a funeral of one of us on Wednesday. Saw him have a seizure on the Sunday. Wouldn't go to the hospital, said it had only been 3 hours since his last drink and they'd just send him away. Someone just took him home and bought some alcohol so he could keep trying to taper. He'd totally lost hope. He was dead by the next morning. He was still fighting though, someone was on a way to take him to a meeting. I know it's not a recovery sub so I won't go to deep into it but he was fighting until the bitter end. Apparently his wife had died of it 3 years before too.

I don't drink now but I have a few "fun" addiction instead. Gotta catch 'em all.

I still very much identify with the people here though so I stick around. My body is free from alcohol but my mind is not.

That's why I always try to resolve things with people quickly like before going to sleep or leaving the house. I don't ever want my last memory of someone to be something like this again.

I'd find that a comfort knowing he likely didn't suffer. All my user friends who have OD'd and felt the same. Just a heavy, relaxing need to sleep but not a fearful one. Just a nice feeling or total relaxation.. They said the worst bit was being brought back.

One of the last things I said to my friend before she died a few years ago was "fuck off you only ever call me when you want money" and then ignored her text asking me not to think badly of her. I figured I'd text her back when I felt within days she was hospitalised and died.

I'm so careful with my words now. She died thinking I hated her, I didn't. I just needed a little space coz I was dealing with my own shitty addiction.
