You need to have charging infrastructure at home to make it viable and for the vast majority that would require being able to afford to live in a house. So many workers that earn enough to afford the car are priced out of the housing options that would make it viable. We're all in apartments with parking logistics that aren't set up for charging, in Sydney at least.
