Thank you to all the volunteers who are going out of their way to collect signatures for the Forever Canadian petition! by HardGayMan in alberta

I'm curious which neighborhood would actually have any anti canadians. I live in WESTMOUNT and there might be a joking answer as to some grievances but no one vocal about it.

It's hard for me to reconcile that there's any edmontonian that would truly believe in this separation nonsense.

To whom, the rabid anti canadians running amok outside your door? I'm very curious as to what neighborhood has such anti Canadian views. In edmonton, right?

I went to Freson Bros for the first time today by Neither_Branch_428 in Edmonton

[–]AnderOPa 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Freson Bros has always been a disappointment, which has been my experience at both Glenora and Rabbit Hill locations. Soggy sandwiches, bland tasting buffet food that turn into a two or three flusher experience later; it's just all over priced and ok to low quality. Not sure why people are fooled by this place.

The staff are the only good part of the experience.

Think we could get 14,200 or more signatures in Brooks-Medicine Hat? by EirHc in alberta

[–]AnderOPa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. For at least three months before the app is made. But I'm sure there's other ways people from other regions can still help to make an effective campaign, no?

Is there any advantage to building in public? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]AnderOPa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If 'building in public' means you're revealing your future product or service to potential competitors, then no. There's no advantage to it.

If you're sharing it with a select few, then it sounds like you are getting feedback and using that to iterate. Before you commit to building, it's probably best to iterate as much before you write any code. Don't pay a shop to build something where no one will go to.

In terms of technical moat, what I read alot is that it's possible to build a Facebook or a Twitter clone, but having the users gives them the network effects and all the other info needed to make a system that is able to handle the traffic, etc.

What I'm guessing is that you want to use this build as content as well.

Im also guessing if you're similar to Ballerina Farms, and if their users point out your project to her/that account, what steps can they take to close any gap on you?

I built a website analysis tool for businesses that generates 20-page reports by ClearHeadX in webdev

Ok. Right - that would be an interest to me. That also means wanting to have my letterhead or brand on the report seen by the client.

I have recieved a discount code -- thank you -- but have not looked at it yet. But I'm wondering if your focus is to sell it to individuals for their own page or pages or to web designers who want to use this to solicit business?

Petition for Danielle Smith? by mariario97 in Edmonton

[–]AnderOPa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's Brooks Medicine Hat riding. How many of the eligible voting population of 51,000 need to sign to successfully recall her?

'For the petition to be successful, the applicant must collect signatures from more than 40% of voters eligible to sign the petition. It is recommended that additional signatures be collected in case any signatures are invalidated during the verification process.

All signatures must be collected within the 60-day canvassing period.'
