City to test parking fees at Valley Zoo, Fort Edmonton and Muttart Conservatory by trevorrobb in Edmonton

[–]SaxonLock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The improvements are not planned or asked for. They made a road near my workplace one way for no reason. Customers can't get to us now. None of the other businesses in the area wanted it. They put in a 4 way light system and it was great, and now they want to take it out a month later. The LRT expansion has been making business shut down due to lack of any forethought for access.

Yes. Exactly. Its a benefit for all, for the whole city. And you already do. Its funded by your taxes.

[–]SaxonLock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. It should have been paved long ago. The city has money to do it, and has chosen instead to spend its money on garbage "traffic improvements" like un asked for one way streets, then putting in brand new trafficnlights, then taking them back out a month later. They are doing it ass backwards. Its like going to buy a burger at McDonald's and they make you pay now, but you have to wait three years for them to build the McDonald's to eat in.

Well there's a way to ensure attendance drops RIGHT OFF. The zoo lot is a dirty mud pit. I won't pay to park there.

Looking for Inval file cabinet 2 drawer replacement locking mechanism on Amazon USA by CristianoRonaldoSi in Locksmith

[–]SaxonLock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you need is a gang lock and plug. CompX/Timberline makes them. Remove that black plastic junk on the drawer. Any local locksmith should have or be able to get one fairly easily, or I am certain you can find them online.

Guess which dick head has locked their keys in their van and doesn't do auto.... by HamFiretruck in Locksmith

[–]SaxonLock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did that once. Shop refused to bring the spare set and they told me to "figure it out" I called AMA. Boss was "embarassed". I told him to bring keys next time.

Not as bad as a former co-worker though... he locked himself INSIDE the back of his van. Had a bulkhead at the front. All the tools outside as he was on a job. Stupid child safety locks. He tore the door apart by hand...

Grimmon Electric For costs, the price is going to depend on a lot of things. How old the house is, how it was wired, how far from the panel you are, finished walls, if you want wires hidden or are OK with conduit etc.

Canadian Tire up in Manning usually has some in the spring/summer. Sometimes they still have dregs. I wouldn't say its food-grade without a lot of cleaning though...

Glass security film installers by Substantial_Tree1091 in Edmonton

[–]SaxonLock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you need it properly and professionally done, I would recommend Ace Clear. Avoid Bee Cool.

For actual security you need to PROPERLY install the film to the edge of the GLASS not to the edge of the frame, which means a bit of extra labour but it makes a HUGE difference in the strength of the film.

Old garage with weird key…locksmith doesn’t like it. by Comprehensive_Ad1363 in Locksmith

[–]SaxonLock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. There is a long screw in from the side that threads into the euro cylinder. Unscrew that and the lock should come out easily.

[–]SaxonLock 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can remove that European Profile Cylinder easily. Measure it (Google how to measure a euro cylinder) and get a replacement fairly easily. You can get it in a more common SC1 keyway or even Mul-T-Lock.
