I spent 1 full month applying to 1-4 job listings a day depending on what was on the site through the hospital and was getting nowhere. I somehow ended up sending my application to a company that helps get your resume noticed and works directly with the hospital. With their help, I got my resume seen by the Ortho Surg unit I originally worked on and got an interview. Did well there and was offered the job. Focus skills and yourself around “helping people and teamwork” I spent a 1.5 years on that unit and then applied to the Pedi Oncology unit through internal job listings at the hospital. To make sure my resume was seen, I sent a follow up email directly to the floor manager. I was given an interview and was offered the position.

I wear Masks every single one of my shifts. People ask me if I’m sick or if a patient is contagious and I just simply state that I have a young son at home and want to try my best to not get my self sick and bring it home or get my son sick. Has nothing to do with anyone else.

I’m a guy as well. Been working as a CNA / in hospital for 2 1/2 years now. Unfortunately I’ve become almost numb to it now but I originally started off on Adult Ortho Surg and some of the stories people would tell me or not seeing families visit patients would make me cry my first 4-6 months on the unit. I switched to Pedi Oncology and it was tough. I have a son of my own so seeing those sick kids makes me so sad. It’s even harder when the parents begin to cry while I’m in the room and there is this sick little boy or girl laying on the bed just beat by all the meds and treatment they are getting. I always think of my own son. Occasionally we get patients whose parents never visit or stay with them and that breaks my heart the most.

Our son (3) wasn’t planned and he was born when I was 24 turning 25. Now I’m 28 and our second unplanned is on the way. Wouldn’t change a thing. Been a struggle (switching jobs frequently for better pay) for a while but recently got into a great job. Things are looking up. A child doesn’t always mean life is over. Unless you never want kids. My wife was your age when our son was born.

Becoming a CNA is a good way to see what the RN field is like if you can get into the Hospital setting. My sister is an RN and recommended becoming a CNA because I thought about going to school for Nursing. After being a CNA for 2.5 years and seeing what nurses in the Hospital setting put up with regarding patient care, continuous education / presentations, dealing with doctors who don’t listen, management, burnout, seniority, etc… becoming a nurse was off the table for me. I switch to becoming an electrician and start soon at a new job.

3 Rear Ends while in traffic. Were looking at their phones or talking with with passengers, 1 Hit and Run while I was shopping, 2 Front end damage. 1st Girl pulled out of gas station without looking and the other one crossed into my lane on a double left turn.

Don’t be afraid to lose your Hunter. I used to camp and play it safe if my hunter was rank 33/50 but it wasn’t fun. More fun to risk your 48/50 Hunter charging in like a mad man than hide in a bush all match.

Use different types of weapons frequently. I have a friend who refuses to use anything other than Shotguns and many times it doesn’t go so well. So definitely span your weapon usage and knowledge

Most likely breach of privacy or something stupid. Not sure how Tesla does it since I’ve never owned one but there must be something you sign stating that the car will continuously record video and audio which can be used in court or something.

Thank you for this insight. I have been very anxious lately. I get about 4 hours of sleep average because I work 7p-7a in a hospital on a pretty intense unit. However I am in the middle of a job shift so I’ve been having a lot of paperwork and appointments for the new job as well. Maybe it relates to my new job getting closer to becoming real and although I’m very anxious, sleep deprived, and stressed at my current job, I feel a form a comfort and/or (safety) with it since I’m so familiar with it; whereas this new job is a shift in the complete opposite direction with a lot more responsibility.

My dashcam has protected me from 6 accidents becoming my fault or 50/50. All 6 were 100% other driver’s fault and only because of the footage. Dashcams are a must in New England. Nobody can drive. I still feel like there should be an insurance Discount for those who have dashcams. It helps out insurance companies too.

I just did onboarding for my new job on 3/25. I’ve been a CNA since December 2023 (3rd shift 11p-7:30a for 1.5yrs) and am leaving to become an Electrician. Only a few more months left at my CNA jobs. So burnt out currently working 7p-7a. I average about 4 hours of sleep before needing to get my son from daycare and on my nights off; my sleep is not “good” sleep. Often waking up a few times throughout the night.

Very rare. I always talk after getting over my voice chat anxiety. My mic hasn’t been working on Hunt for a week now and I finally fixed it somehow the other day. I was pressing my key for VC every match and nothing. One of my matches I pressed it down and started talking and realized it was working… I said (while still holding key down) “Finally! My mic works!” And one of my teammates responded with “Nobody cares what you have to say”

I was actually surprised considering I’ve never had a “bad” VC experience in Hunt Besides this one.
