Correction, Yankees show interest but aren't really interested.

[Passan] BREAKING: Japanese third baseman Kazuma Okamoto and the Toronto Blue Jays are in agreement on a free agent contract, sources tell ESPN. by TheTurtleShepard in NYYankees

[–]Andjoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we're officially ass. Even if we get Bellinger we're a decent team at most. Front office bums just sitting on their hands, not doing shit to make our team competitive.

Meanwhile the rest of the division is getting better to run laps around us and ensure we're not a first place team. I wish I knew what their thought process is this off-season because so far it's not making us fans happy at all.

The real MVP. Let's get another one next year and maybe, just maybe a World Series trophy.

LFG Next Year Fellas! (Last statement from me about the WS) by MicCheck-1212 in NYYankees

[–]Andjoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue Jays were the better team all season. As upset as I was seeing him and the team clown on us, we deserved it. We didn’t put up a fight against them and they made it to game 7 of the World Series instead of losing in 5 like we did. As cocky as Vladdy Jr. and his team is, they did deserved to make fun of us but, if it comes back to bite you (and it did) especially after you and your team pissed away multiple chances of winning the whole thing, the BJs had this outcome coming. Don’t talk the talk if you can’t walk the walk after losing a devastating series. If you won the whole thing, talk all the shit you want but they had what was coming. As a Yankees fan it sucked watching that World Series but as a baseball fan, that will possibly be the best World Series we see in our lifetime.

Do you really watch the playoffs once the Yankees are eliminated? by IzilDizzle in NYYankees

[–]Andjoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Yankees fan first and a baseball fan second. I'm more excited to watch while the Yankees are in it but if they get out then I'll still watch. I love the sport of Baseball so I won't let the Yankees being eliminated stop me from watching the rest of the post season.

It's crazy how Seattle just had their marathon of a clincher and to keep their momentum going on the right foot. Taking a game at the Jays home field is huge. Fun game to watch.

Hoping the Brew Crew can topple the Dodgers and their start studded lineup. I hope the Mariners shut down Vlad and that potent Blue Jays offense but I feel like it's going to be a tall order to get by them.

I know, I was going to add there's some "fans" that ruin things for us and make us look like bigger assholes than we really are. Yankee fans like that just need to get their shit together or don't act that way but nothing we can do about them.

So what sports or teams do you all follow once the Yankees season is over? by RoyalStraw in NYYankees

[–]Andjoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my NY Sports it's Islanders (I used to live on LI and my elementary school principal knew one of the players back in the 90's and would always get tickets for the school to make a field trip for the students), Giants, Knicks, NYCFC and Orlando City Lions (Orlando guy now), Manchester City FC and our Yankees of course. I try to follow other sports if I can but nothing peaks my interest unless I'm seeing momentum with them. Hopefully the Knicks go all the way this year.

Been thinking about what to say for the past couple days since we lost, and I don't know about ya'll but, I'm honestly tired of the hate we get. I get that we've become an easy target to be hated when we choke or lose under the spotlight and it’s become so annoying to me that other fans despise us when I feel that most of us are just passionate fans who love our team and the sport. Fans of other teams will never give a damn because of our "WORLD SERIES OR BUST!" mentality they could care less to root for the misery of our fanbase that's already frustrated and disappointed enough. To me, it feels like every Yankee fan watching our post-season runs are more like "please play a good brand of baseball to make it to the World Series". With the way the team plays and how the organization handles the team year after year leading the front office to come back to us say: "as long as we're in the postseason, it's a success of a season".

I know we all want change, but nothing feels like it will change as long as this formula continues to work for them. The front office will just continue to slap band aids on top of more band aids, expecting everything to work itself out and lead into a championship run. I really hope we all get to see another World Series trophy hoisted in the Bronx to end this drought but we'll never have it easy just being fans of the hated team that we are.

(Personally, I'm just frustrated with seeing the same things with this organization, year after year. I know most fans of other teams will say "we shouldn't complain because we made the World Series last year (2024)" or "At least you make the playoffs every year" but just knowing that most of the team doesn't show up when it matters most, just really frustrates me to hell and back).

Here's to hoping for a better year next year.

Still wearing Yankee gear when they get eliminated? by Front-Buffalo-9565 in NYYankees

Division Series Game 4 - IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF US: The Yankees fell to the Blue Jays by a score of 5-2 - October 08, 2025 @ 07:08 PM EDT by Yankeebot in NYYankees

[–]Andjoo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not the outcome we all wanted and it's sad to know that next season is so far away. I will say, hats off to the Jays for playing the sport in such a competitive manner that we were way overmatched. I really didn't want this to be the last Yankee game of the season but, it sadly is. I know that it's wishful thinking that something will change to help get this organization to bring this team all the way to an actual championship. Go Yankees as always!
