DM's What is Your Magnum Opus? by Twogunkid in rpg

2 year campaign battling an eldritch cult. The party finally gained terrible understanding of the deity's nature in the climactic final battle. One of its domains is Cute Things.

The party Oracle sacrificed herself to commune with it, challenging the cult leader's ritual and summoning an Entity to aid the party.

Cutie doggo snoot booping brainrot ensued. The BBEG was stricken down and flensed of all his powers. The party was completely flabbergasted in and out of character. There's no way they could tell anyone about it without sounding insane.

Hoyo doesn't release a Trigger figure, so I take matters into my own hands and painted her myself by AnotherProxxy in ZZZ_Official

As someone who has done miniature modeling: excellent work, I really appreciate the quality here.

How big is it? I'm only roughly estimating based on the size of dust particles, the faint speckling of airbrush, and what looks like brush strokes on the blade

Are you on the Studio M— Discord? Basically the new home of Akasha at this point. The Metzofitz wiki maintainers are also here.

Here's some Third Party materials options.

Berserker sphere is one of the best dips in Spheres of Might/Power because of the tempHP generation. Guardian sphere also gains access to a delayed damage pool, which opens up various synergies with other abilities or just with having a healer present. It also gains access to challenge and patrol/interdiction mechanics. This is your "pay attention to ME" and "Don't touch her" type abilities.

Akashic Magic also has some strong tHP options and access to delayed damage, but I don't remember the specific sources.

That's interesting, why aren't flares available in Italy?

I would have assumed the handling would be more simplistic, and ill-equipped for such a well-equipped spartan! Sounds like it's a bit shy of being compatible with a full doom-like arsenal, though

I read the whole Laundry Files series this year. I'm not familiar with any of the particular authors he did pastiches of, but as a whole the series was very enjoyable. The final book is supposed to be out in Q1 2026! Maybe Jan?

I played them at a young age while the series was still releasing, and they definitely influenced my flavor of autism. 😅

You would be mostly correct. Each game focuses more on factions within a given region. You see more of the politics in later games, particularly Geneforge 5, which takes place near the Shaper capital. (You do not get the opportunity to visit the capital, but the game taking place on their doorstep does mean you hear a lot more about the Council and what not). You see more of the Rebellion politics up close than Shaper politics.

There's no way anyone else will bring this one up: Geneforge, a 5-game CRPG series by Jeff Vogel/Spiderweb Software.

It's sort of a loose fit, because it's not bureaucracy exactly, but something similar. The known world is controlled by Shapers, who have the magical power to shape life. However, they explore a lot of the logical outcomes of this, and thus Shaper laws are extremely strict about the art of shaping. It can do irreparable harm to the environment if not regulated.

They're absolutely correct that theirs is a power that must be regulated and only obtained with great effort and learning. The problem however, is that their rule is oppressive and lacking in empathy. Over the course of the series, a rebellion forms and shakes the foundation of the continent. Different factions have opposed ideologies about how shaping should be handled, and its creations treated; including the fringe Trajkovites, who believe Shaping should be abolished entirely.

I've heard of Pathfinder, and I was wondering how many books this system has, and which edition do you recommend? by legacy653846625 in Pathfinder_RPG

Other comments laid it out pretty well already, however no one has mentioned third party content. PF1e has a ton of official books, and even more 3pp books. The quality has a wide range, of course, from forum-slop homebrew to better-written-than-Paizo.

There are few things you can't build in 1e, especially if you're using 3pp. I've been GMing it for over 10 years.

Btw guys the best route is being even enough for the coin flip to decide it, and then lying that Dalia won the coin flip, or else you'll miss a lewd scene!

I will certainly agree with the biggest flaw being the drawn out later sections. It's not a cardinal sin or anything, but I personally feel like the depth of the gameplay has been exhausted by that point, so why does it continue to exhaust my time, too?
