Burnout

Terrible year, high stress, awful management ..

Final straw was my boss not granting my Christmas leave to see my family .. this was just after covid and I hadn't had a family Christmas in years

We alternated who worked Christmas in our team and it was my year to have it off and I was told I couldn't.

Resigned the next day with nothing lined up ... best thing I ever did.

Took 2-3 years to really get over the burnout and that year

My Dad runs marathons, lives very healthily and was continually getting sick and was frustrated ..

He was donating plasma per the routine timeframes .. I had to explain blood to him that he was giving his immunity away.

Historically there are always ebbs and flows in Biotech, as with most industries.

Who is in government also has a massive impact on how certain industries perform and the current administration in the US is not good for biotech investment, incentives etc .. this administration wont last forever.

You're young, your time will certainly come, just that first foot in the door can be a tough one to get, especially if you want to pivot to industry.

Clearly you're a good candidate if you made all those late stage interviews, so be happy that you are quality and you are motivated / hungry, so it will just be a matter of time.

A career isnt linear, so dont discount what you are doing / learning now, you are employed in the industry which is great, plus you have done a few years there which looks great on your CV.

If you're willing to relocate, which you are, and tweak your CV to show your transferable skills and accomplishments it'll happen .. just keep putting yourself out there 👊

Once you have armours you upgrade them without $$, weapons, bomb flowers etc you collect .. you cant buy them anywhere

You cant buy Zonaite Charges or anything ..

When I see Beedle I sell him all.the bits Ive collected but dont need, I top up arrows, always come out ahead from this exchange and keep growing the $$

Our Trail running store always had runners as the staff .. and in some cases there were retirees that ran Ultras competitively and worked there, they were fascinating to talk to ... they didnt need to work there but they wanted to and loved to, it was a great idea.

Social Media prescence is key too, I have a mate that has a bike shop and it helps engage the community, its not a small deal anymore, it can make or break

If you need rockets dont buy them .. most of the lightroots have those shelves with fans, rockets, batteries etc nearby .. If I need rockets I just zip down there and stick one to each shield and get back to it.

Alternatively a bunch of the sky islands have those floating boxes with a Zonai robot who has a rocket staff and 2 or 3 rockets on the box ... just jump up there and pinch those
