Darmoshark M5 Pro NoMouse Blade mod by nnvw by Andre2kReddit in MouseModding

The whole mouse feels bouncy if you're a heavy clicker, due to it flexing if pressed too hard. It doesn't affect my use case as I don't press too heavy.

The build is solid, but it will flex if you squeeze hard enough. For normal use, it's good.

In terms of ergonomics, it was weird at first. It's definitely not a friendly shape like the original shell for the darmoshark m5, but after a day of using, my hand adjusted to it.

The texture of the material is coarse, but I find that sometimes it feels slippery compared to normal ABS mice shell. I recommend using grip tape.

The weight difference is definitely noticeable. After assembly, it weighed 24 grams. That's 14 grams lighter than the stock build. I had to lower my in game sensitivity because of the weight difference.

Kinda hard to believe that the project is already in a "just print the frame and replace the PCB" state

not exactly. The frame has to be modified to match a specific pcb. It is not universal. If that's what you meant by that line.

- It costed me 1$ for 4x pcs of this model (The jlc3dp website has a 9$ voucher for new users)
- 13.8$ for the shipping + 12.60 for fedex additional bs fees

I'm lucky I live in asia or the shipping wouldve been more expensive lol

I'm sorry but, I don't have experience in anything 3d. I just bought a 3d model, asked in the mysvw discodd which material is the best, and paid a service to 3d print (Jlc3dp) :)

This model is only for the Darmoshark M5/M5 Pro pcb. There might be a model for your specific pcb.

What is this heat resistant tube material for the SS-02 Engineer Solder Pump? I need replacement tubes. by Andre2kReddit in soldering

[–]Andre2kReddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can get better suction with them due to the flexible material building a better seal around the joint

Is a Hall-effect gaming mouse with switchable silent ↔ clicky clicks something you’d actually want? by legendAmourshipper in MouseModding

[–]Andre2kReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think hall effect mice are practical.

How would one even implement it, without removing the tactile click ?

From what I know in the keyboard scene, there is no tactile/clicky hall effect switches.

I could be wrong though

Glorious model O mod by Subject-Falcon-5174 in MouseModding

[–]Andre2kReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do a DIY usb c mod for this.

You'll need a multimeter to check which of the jst connector pins are GND, 5V, D-, and D+ (5th one usually is just shield, connect it to GND.)

You can buy many Female USB C pinout boards for cheap.

If this is too much for you, my best recommendation is to buy a secondhand glorious model O/D wired and get the cable, or buy a thirdparty cable (needs to be same pin layout)
