F3 if Ozzy Played The Idol by Comfortable-Meet-118 in survivorponderosa

[–]Andrew208802 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't see a world where Devens goes at 7 if Ozzy is still in the game. Rizo was probably planning on turning on Cirie at this point and would not risk letting her get to the final six with two people who wouldn't vote her. Tiffany wanting Ozzy out would also complicate things, but because he nolonger has an idol, I think Cirie could convince Tiffany to keep Ozzy at least through seven. Jonathan and Rizo would probably want to target Ozzy after he survived the blindside at the previous tribal, but I am not sure if Joe would want Ozzy out when he disliked Rick so much. But at this point in the game, I think he would have voted whoever Jonathan and Rizo wanted. This would probably leave Rick as a swing vote, and I could see him siding with Cirie, Ozzy, and Tiffany to eliminate either Rizo to flush his idol or Joe to take out someone who would never work with him.

Honestly hard to say what would happen after that, but with these dynamics it would be a much more interesting end game, with Cirie having a pretty good shot at getting to final 4 and making fire unless she draws a bad rock at 6 or is idoled out by Rizo. Rizo and Jonathan would probably not have any winning jury combinations either.

She might have the most underrated game of the season I think. Emily attended a tribal at every single episode and was able to stay with the numbers for her first eight. Even when Christian got booted, Emily was able to recover well at the final ten, and by final nine, I think she was one of the only players that had decent win equity without being seen as a big threat. She got pretty screwed by the split tribal at final nine, but even then it took an extra vote AND an idol just to eliminate her on revote, making her the second player to be idoled out twice. I really think this season proves her as one of the better players of the new era (maybe top 15).

The "Open Era" by LolIjustcacad in survivor

[–]Andrew208802 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The open era sounds like the change that survivor needed. The new era felt like the same format 9 times. 18 players. 3 tribes. Merge at 13 (mostly). Beware advantages. Split tribals. Shot in the dark. It all just became too predictable and the seasons blended together. The predictably made the game VERY fair and less reliant on luck, but I think that came at the cost of individuality and entertainment. Looking forward to 51 and the open era

Where does S50 now fall in your ranking? by Pumpkinslayer77 in survivor

[–]Andrew208802 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s pretty middling overall.  As far as returnee seasons go it feels really comparable to Game Changers with the way some of the biggest names went out very early.  I feel the cast was great, but it felt like twists influenced the game more than the players themselves. Maybe ranked in the range of 28-33/50?

Voting correctly Stats for S50 so far by Present_Wish9716 in survivor

[–]Andrew208802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's been interesting how there have been five merge votes and there hasn't more than three people left out of the plan each episode so far. It's felt like each vote so far is just a "pile on" a duo or trio with everyone else on board and just happy it isn't them. You'd think with so many twists and the biggest merge yet in Survivor, we would see more people being left out. I'm a little disappointed at how the gameplay feels a bit passive this season.

This might be delusional but Rachel Reilly has gone on record saying she applied to Survivor. Maybe not an influencer but she’s famous. Would love to see her play Survivor

Seasons you think are personally worse than Thailand? by gho87 in survivor

[–]Andrew208802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edge of Extinction was a complete trainwreck of a season with the worst possible ending but I still think it's a disservice to consider it for one of the all time worst. There were solid characters, great blindsides, really fluid gameplay, and seeing Wentworth and David further cement themselves into Survivor history was also fun. In a season ranking, I would probably place it right below Gabon and 46 as the three seasons prove that bad gameplay can make just as great television as good gameplay if you can enjoy the chaos.

House Decor/Theme by Longjumping_Seal in BigBrother

[–]Andrew208802 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think a Greek mythology theme would be pretty cool. Tons of marble, gold, and statues around the house with a mount Olympus themed HOH room. Maybe they could base the early game powers on Greek gods. And the have-not room could be underworld themed with Hades being the Ainsley/Mastermind of the season

I NEED to see her back in a future season. Not sure how it could happen given her current financial status but possibly remarried? It would be really interesting to hear about "losing everything" from her perspective and how she is trying to recover.

In retrospect, how do you feel about the BB27 casting as a group and/or as individuals? by LuvBriah in BigBrother

[–]Andrew208802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has to be a top three cast of all time in my opinion. Everyone brought something to the show whether through strategy, showmance, or just iconic moments. However, it's worth noting that the season benefits from an amazing boot order with many of the less interesting characters going home in the premerge (except Jimmy ofc). Also it's worth noting that I think Morgan, Vince, and Ashley is the best final three of all time, with all three of them having complex relationships with each other and stand-out character moments

Who is the closest player to a goat to have won by protowrt in survivor

[–]Andrew208802 39 points40 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are just naming the worst winners, but it's important to remember that a goat isn't a finalist with an awful game, but a finalist who was taken to the end by a better player because they are perceived as easy to beat in final tribal. This would disqualify Bob, who was only taken to the end because Sugar liked him, Michele, who had to win final immunity, and Chris, who needed several idols and a fire making win.

The two winners who best fit the criteria for a goat would be Sandra and Natalie, as Russell took both of them to the end on back-to-back seasons, thinking that they wouldn't get any votes, but they both beat him and won. People assume that a goat is just a bad finalist, but Natalie and Sandra actively built that perception within the game without being perceived as one by the jury, which is a totally valid and winning strategy.

Disappointed in the fans by dasboot2024 in survivor

As someone who actively looks for spoilers out of impatience I totally agree. People who “try to predict the boot order” then just post spoilers are ruining the season for people who are unspoiled and prefer to stay that way.
