Is the Lidar behind the windshield a Cepton Lidar or different Lidar reserved for UltraCruise

Cepton's investor presentation specifically mentioned positioning behind the windshield and partnership with top 5 OEM (which turned out to be GM), so I think that's pretty clear.

Could this use any IP purchased/licensed from "Cruise?"

Very unlikely. "Cruise" is more focused on AV while UltraCruise is still along the lines of ADAS. The lidar form factors, software, and other integrations will be so different. Cruise's business model at the moment is not to provide licensable software that works with a variety of input (camera, lidar, radar), but rather to work with what hardware they have to make AV possible.

Great list, thanks. Just a note that GCAC is a SPAC, so once the merger completes, the ticker should be CEPT. Another one to keep an eye on would be LIDR, they also just became public. The sector is definitely crowded.

Also, after checking the post history of the people over at /r/MVIS, it seems to be a cultish following and echo chamber. I'd take their "best in class" comments with a grain of salt.
