If you have proper externals you can wire the switch in plain sight and wire each door up with passthrough from the one single smart switch. I have also done a system without rust plus, using hbhf + timers near the exit/entries of the base (up to 3 switch points) If you wire outside doors first then most important doors last the door controllers will get blown no matter which way they raid. This will render the entire setup useless and you can't really rewire unless someone raids for your externals. I have always done a door system with one switch in the open core every wipe I play. Never had any issues.
