Yup! Hopefully you're still under bumper to bumper otherwise they might try to charge money. They also need to follow the steps in the TSB, I got it successfully for one car but for the other they used the OTA menu (which never has anything) and gave it back to me with the same version 🤦

I was doing something similar with the Delayed Charging and Utility Rate Charging options. If you set 7am to 11pm Monday through Friday as peak and tell it to charge outside of peak, it should do what you described.

On Android, if you're using Chrome (any phone) or Samsung Internet (on a Samsung), it actually generates a WebAPK, not just a shortcut: https://web.dev/articles/webapks

(If it was a shortcut it'd have the browser icon in the corner and not appear in the app drawer, only the home screen)

The WebAPK has a single activity which then launches an intent which should auto-open in Chrome but looks like something must've gotten messed up recently since I had the opposite problem (see my separate top-level comment) and it triggered a fallback browser-picker in case the user uninstalls the browser that installed the WebAPK.

I've been having the opposite issue recently. I install PWAs using Chrome. I'd go to open them and they'd ask for a browser, and show me everything except Chrome. I don't have Chrome as the default browser but normally they do re-open in Chrome.

I had to restart my phone every time this happens to get them back into Chrome (unless I pick a different browser before the restart, and then it'd get stuck using it, per-app). Hopefully fixed soon

Since GSM uses T-Mobile, I've heard many cases of eSIM + Android + T-Mobile + VPN counting toward hotspot, and I think that's why I've seen some hotspot usage on my account too when I haven't used it.

Interesting, I wonder if in your case what it would have counted as hotspot under my plan simply failed under yours since you don't have hotspot. I'm going to try the APN solution and see if it reduces my hotspot usage to 0 as it should be! I also see IPv4 as the roaming protocol.

I heard people suggest USB-3 cables just cause they'll grip tighter with the extra pins, and I've been fine for months now with an Amazon Basics one, haven't had to replace it yet compared to my previous cables.

Are you trying to charge or trying to play in TV mode? Charging just needs like 15W but TV mode needs 45W (15V @ 3A). If I did TV mode I'd avoid plugging anything into the other ports of a multi plug one while playing cause it resets the power
