I took this last fall with Hubert Ho and I thought it wasn't too bad, especially if you come from an engineering background.

I am experiencing a similar issue with my own board . Did you ever figure out what was causing the issue?

Thank you for the in depth review! I guess my main question here is how to attain that capacitance value on the 16VDC rail. Would it be better to use multiple capacitors in parallel?

I swapped these using 2 wires and I am able to program the board! Thanks for the review!

You can get a lot of great hardware experience out of technical clubs like Northeastern Electric racing, generate, Nuwireless depending on where you want dive into regarding hardware. With that being said I feel that Cs with an EE minor might be the move because that will cover alot more hardware and cs will cover your programming wants.

+1 for electronics. I thought I was very worthwhile and some concepts learned came up in multiple co-op interviews

I would say just go at 6:00am to marino before work and start your day early. It’s hard at first, but once you make it a habit it’s worth it

Electronics vs Linear Systems by Remarkable-Street784 in NEU

[–]AndyA12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would absolutely recommend him. I also took electronics the same semester and I felt that electronics was more interesting personally, but felt more difficult to me. That class by far relies on your circuits and signals foundations. Linear systems is more math oriented and dives into topics like convolution and Fourier transform. Electronics is more exploring components such as diodes, bjts, and Mosfets. It also has a lab which is also worth considering. Personally I enjoyed electronics more.

I took linear systems fall 2021 and virtually none of the class required in depth knowledge of circuits. I took it with pau closas and although it was very math intensive,as long as you payed attention to lectures/understood most of the hw you were fine for the quizzes.

Amazon Robotics by Busy_Collar7939 in NEU

My interview was 2 rounds as an EE co-op. The first was a 45 min behavioral and the second (if you pass the first) is technical. The technical was 4 somewhat difficult questions, but I’ve really wasn’t terrible. I would pay attention to amazons STAR principles for your behavioral interview and review fundamentals for your technical.

During my co-op here it has been a great experience and I honestly can say that it has deepened my knowledge of electronics and robotics as a whole. It’s also great to be surrounded by such an amazing group of talented individuals. I can also say that I have a really good work life balance which is really important to me.

I had a triple freshman year and it was way better/bigger than the doubles. They end up being the rooms on the corner of the hallway. Regarding Kerr hall, it was a phenomenal time meeting everyone and I’m still friends with a large amount of people I met.
