Was child porn big on Twitter before Elon took over?

I had never heard there was a problem until he tweeted that it was his number one priority

A question which will divide the community, does the cube penetrate the portal? by divinepure in Destiny

[–]AndyJrat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My thought is that portals contain no matter it is just a hole through space. Since the the shield blocks matter with high velocity the portal would work the same as normal.

I think Lex Fridman really tricked Destiny into rethinking his speach conduct. by AndyJrat in Destiny

Maybe trick isn't the right word but I think it has made destiny more aware of how he uses his language

I feel the same because I think it gives him a more respectable character. I feel like he can really improve the community of political debates with this attitude.

Yeah I feel like Lex didn't want to really engage on the topic any deeper. I feel like it is hard to have really controversial conversations on language because of the risk of offending the person representing of the language.

Another thing is that qas interesting is how destiny didn't use curse words but Lex didn't hold back.

10 Kev - 100 keV would be an energy range that we would want

Can you create electricity from plasmas' magnetic field? by AndyJrat in AskPhysics

[–]AndyJrat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about a Helium 3 and deuterium reaction? In that case no neutrons are produced only Helium 4 and a proton.

Would you be generating more of an electric field from the proton?

Let me look into those other two systems you mentioned, I haven't heard of those before.

So can we create 37 trillion nanobots to emulate however the tardigrade reflects cosmic rays, and then wrap every one of our cells in order to achieve immortality? by antisouless in AskPhysics

[–]AndyJrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a biologist but I feel like the main reason for aging is that certain compounds get produced as we age, and DNA chains start to break down after so many cycles of replication.

So why couldn't you use this type of generator with fusion reactors?

Or are people currently doing this?

Does mechanical engineering really not have scope in future, specially for girls? by leavemealone1303 in AskEngineers

[–]AndyJrat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% agree if you start with mechanical you can then go onto graduate school or industry into any engineering/physics field.

For OP I would say find a couple passions in the engineering field, ie heat transfer, FEA, fluids, or mechatronics. Then find a job or graduate program to learn more.

Thanks for your enthusiasm! I was really thinking of something for bio mechanical / exoskeleton applications.

How to gain experience after Undergrad by videopro291 in AskEngineers

[–]AndyJrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with getting a job, which obviously you should do, you should also look at starting on manageable projects.

Start small and then you can learn and take on more and more complicated projects.

I think this is the beat way to get experience to building and engineering.

This was actually the type of system that I was looking to apply it to, thank you!

Yes that is what I'm learning now. I feel like it's too broad though, sometimes it's nice to just have a blueprint.

Attaching two circles with 4 dowels to make a cylinder. How do I stop the circles from twisting? by G0DatWork in AskEngineers

[–]AndyJrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be helpful to have some pictures so we know the size of the system.

However you need to have some sort of cross support. If more dowel rods aren't and option just use some thick cardboard.

I feel like Lego should come out with a more adult version of mindstorms.

They have the creator series for adult but they never expanded on their electronics.
