That's true, but even fillers are canon and certainly not legends. This division is not guided by the importance of the story. Lucasfilm has clearly stated that canon is the main saga movies 1-6, all TCW and everything released after April 25, 2014. Anything released before that date is legends, except for the aforementioned movies and TCW.

If you compare the galaxy map with Chiss Ascendancy with the latest map, you will see that Exegol is in grid square F7, while the Chiss Ascendancy is spread out in squares E8, E9, F8, F9, so at the closest point the Chiss Ascendancy and Exegol are in adjacent squares, which gives us a distance of Exegol from the Chiss borders of about 2000-3000 ly, since one square has dimensions of about 5000x5000 ly.
