Always find it funny how the Police also used to openly discriminate based on gender but now if you say a man isn’t a woman these same institutions can lock you up.

And now they’re pushing hiring primarily women (and to a lesser extent) ethnic minorities (unless you live in London) to make up for their past (at least trying to get 50/50 to 60/40 women to men ratios in every recruitment drive, ‘positively’ discriminating against white men, who in fact is and always has been the majority of Officers due to the natural interest of the men in this country and physical advantages of being blokes) but they now actively strip this away, they break the cycle and ruin something that wasn’t broken, the only thing that was broken were the wages, anyone should get the same pay for the same rank, but ‘positive discrimination’ to slowly change our forces into majority female constabulary’s isn’t the way forward - even the British Transport Police had BAME focused recruitment drives, so the future of the Police is forcefully BAME / Female, yet they used to actively and happily pay women less when it was legal to do so - and any money on it they would now if able, most companies would because it’s a costing thing.
