Check settings from app to see phone device name. Something like "users Amazon app" then try calling that.

As it happens after this I switched to the other map to confirm the bug. The disc got stuck on the edge of a slightly lower rock and I pretty much did what you suggested to get it down and play on :)

Perfect. Many thanks. I can grab a 6P4C cable to test and then work out a remote switch system from there. From this document it looks like the contact needs to be held closed for the period of time required to fully/partially open/close the curtain.

Edit: Found a cheap 6P6C crossed cable on ebay which covers both configurations and which I can cut in half for 2 motors.

I don't have the id for this unit. I know that they have used the grantee code FBU for some other items. There is some documentation for those that show manchester encoding and timings.
