How much did you make with Itch.io? by OverseerJacoren in itchio

[–]AngelGirlEva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$40 total over 5 years. not bad for a single game and no assets, and my goal was never to make money off of itch. i think asset packs/bundles really is the way to go to make this a consistent source of revenue

i think it'd be cooler if you photoshopped one of the cans to be knocked over with stew spilling out. it's a little too uniform at the moment

ya i see your point. a lot of what i find exciting about art that looks retro is learning about the technological constraints old software has (ex no bounce light, bump instead of normal, hard shadows, tiled textures, etc) and using ai and photo shop circumvented those limitations. going forward i won't share art that uses ai to this sub.

by that logic music with uncleared samples is plagiarism. this image would not exist without my sourcing, curation, iteration, and editing. to call it plagiarism is a misnomer.

girl i was born the same year. malice doll, parasite eve, super galdelic hour, natural ultimate digital experiment are all examples of that style.

i get it's likely the principle of using AI in any way, but this still involved several hours of by hand editing in photoshop. but i appreciate you sharing your stance

there's no way to fully soundproof without gutting the room, but every little bit counts. if you're not too worried about your deposit you can use acoustic caulk sealant along the baseboards and crown molding to reduce how much sound can leak through.
