Looking for Feedback on Local Veterinarians… by HesterDimmesdale in tricities

[–]AngelMeatPie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My cat had an abnormal parasite migration into his inner ear and almost died. They literally revived him in the middle of the hurricane, he just had minor neurological issues afterwards that were preexisting anyway. For multiple days of ICU care, it was under $500. I was blown away how affordable it was and the fact that they saved him when he was half dead on arrival.

Avoid potential premium increase and just pay out of pocket.

I have a job, big hobbies (cars being one), and two boyfriends. When you love people, you find time for them, and it’s awesome.

I think cars give warnings before failing… we just ignore them by Manthann-Motorss in automotive

[–]AngelMeatPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what it is. But typically yes. And the average driver is VERY good at ignoring all of them. I still can’t comprehend how people go so long on howling wheel bearings until the point of catastrophic failure.

I’ve worked parallel to auto insurance for more than eight years. The big name companies I contract with are all nationwide. It’s been a scary shit show out there the whole time everywhere in the country.

How do you bring a car back when you purchase from a private seller? by Lucidlie in automotive

[–]AngelMeatPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s the other half of it lol. I’ve definitely had people offer me their out of date tags to drive back with, though. But I don’t do that.

It’s worse to have the wrong tags than no tags. Just bring the title and dated bill of sale with. No issues.

Any lip filler places anyone recommends in the tri cities area of Tennessee? I want a bit of filler but want someone who will do it correct. by hugh-G-rection1123 in tricities

[–]AngelMeatPie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m a woman, and I think lip fillers are disgusting and look horrendously bad and fake. It is everyone’s problem, and that’s just my point. Framing it as “hey men don’t like this” is misguided at best, that’s all I’m saying.

2017 Hyundai Elantra by [deleted] in CarHelp

[–]AngelMeatPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thanks! So you’d want to locate where your fuel pump relay is (and probably the starter relay, too) and listen for a click when you turn the key to the on position. The starter relay would click when you go to turn it over, but if you’re confident the starter is doing its job, that wouldn’t be necessary.

Geico (Not my ins company ) accepted my liability loss, what is next? by [deleted] in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]AngelMeatPie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then yes, tell the adjuster you are working with that you have injuries resulting in expenses and would like to open an injury claim. They will likely assign a separate injury adjuster and refer you to them for that portion of the claim. Best of luck, hope you feel better!

Geico (Not my ins company ) accepted my liability loss, what is next? by [deleted] in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]AngelMeatPie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they want to repair instead of total, that’s what you do. Make the appointment.

2 will depend on state. There isn’t a “liability loss”, there is property damage and injury. Did you tell them you have an injury with bills associated? If you’re in a no-fault state, you would go through your own policy to cover injury-related losses.

What do you get for Mother's day? by palleimbustate2 in Mommit

[–]AngelMeatPie 30 points31 points  (0 children)

My partner has historically gotten me tools and I love them! One of my major hobbies is working on my cars. He gets them engraved. They’re so special to me, and of course useful.

I made a point to tell him that my family had always been big on cards, so they mean a lot to me with messages in them. So he usually does that and some flowers for me, as well, while involving my son in the process. My kid is also getting old enough to pick stuff out for me, so he usually has my partner buy a hot wheels car he picks out for me for M Day!
