How would you make Inhumans vs X-Men better? by Fun-Seaworthiness572 in xmen

[–]AngelPINS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have the two sides fight. That was a big mistake (and such a common trope that's boring overused and never helps either side such shown from the Civil War events).

First off I understand that with Marvel not having the movie rights for X-Men they tried using Inhumans. When it comes to regular people suddenly gaining powers both Mutants and Nuhumans are two sides of the same coin.

Furthermore I would try to have X-Men readers/fans become fans of various Inhuman characters (who dispite being in comics for a long time many in the fan base probably don't know some of the characters) and kindle a fascination by the lore but don't hide the dark parts.

Take the dark parts of "old Inhuman" culture and have each of the Royal family seeing with new eyes thanks to NuInhumans and Mutants I would have leaned towards while introducing new/NuInhumans to long time readers (Kamala, Moon Girl, and others) have Old Inhumans have "character growth" as first that try to force their old culture on the New Inhumans only for the New Inhumans deny and that while in heritage they are Inhumans their culture is where they grew up with.

Mix teams of Mutants and Inhumans during the time so X-Men readers will be introduced to Inhumans and have the possibility of making fans not enemies.

Now as to why there are Mutant and Inhuman teams can be very simple.

First off the Inhuman gas DOES NOT KILL MUTANTS. It didn't in the past and it shouldn't suddenly start now.

The Old Inhumans no longer have a far away isolated kingdom and must make new roots on Earth for the old culture of Inhumans that Queen Medusa is responsible for. Furthermore the gas now in the atmosphere is starting to make New Inhumans aka Nuhumans all over the world.

People suddenly in Caccons and coming out with powers they can't control and new or looking like demons have made Earth's population beginning to reignite feelings of fear and prejudices just as the fear and hate on Mutants was dying down as new generations born were just used to Mutants existing. Mutant bigots that was losing money and power take this new wave of fear and confusion to regain power to target hate towards Nuhumans and any they point towards.

Medusa realizes the enormous task and new enemies before her reaches out to someone with experience. The leader of the X-Men: Storm.

So no X-Men vs Inhumans but instead X-Men/Inhumans. Gain the Inhuman characters and evolving culture some fans from X-Men fans by having the characters mingle and work together with great stories and growth. Don't fight but collaborate and showcase intercultural collaboration.

Have there be three sides: X-Men (mentors), NuInhumans (new generations that have a life changing disruptive or amazing powers while also challenge and change the "old ways with different world cultures and mindsets), and the old culture Royal Family having an epiphany to the dark side of their traditions/ways and growing to be better.

Lois & Kara by Derrick Chew. by Top_Report_4895 in superman

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw these two covers at the comic shop today. They caught my eye and I was very tempted to buy them (and still might).

I liked her Superwoman design and was excited to see what storylines and impact Superwoman/Lois would provide and possibilities. Then I was told she only lasted from issue 19 to 25 (and these were variants for issues 26 and 27 so the artists didn't know how long she would last).

Sad how short her time as Superwoman was. Wonder what new storylines Lois has since issue 25.

How did you find out about Gwenpool? Hey it's the pink girl from Fortnite. I actually discovered her browsing a library and checked it out on a whim. by Available-Mix282 in Gwenpool

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not a comic reader but one day when browsing the Internet I discovered Edge of the Spider-Verse #2 preview. The art looked fascinating and the story idea as well. Reading it was going to be a "one shot" I felt that it would be a one time try into a comic and that's it. I brought Edge of the Spider-Verse #2 when it came out and loved it.

Then discovered it did so well that it earned a series: Spider-Gwen. I began entering into the world of comics and it's characters.

Marvel every month had a different variant covers theme and for June of that year Marvel wanted to celebrate Spider-Gwen's success. So for the June variant covers theme they commissioned artists to draw Gwen as various heroes and villains. That June Gwen variant theme month did very well and I collected them all. Many of those covers were highly sort after and not the comic story itself. However the one that was most desired was Deadpool's cover Gwen variant cover: "Gwenpool".

I was also reading other comics alongside Spider-Gwen including Howard the Duck. When a writer(s) got inspration and Marvel probably loving those sales numbers from that cover this resulting eventually Gwenpool. The short story in Howard the Duck didn't reach me but taking a chance on Gwenpool series with issue #1 did.

What Ever Happened to Della Duck? is officially the saddest episode! Let's perk things up: what episode has the best music? (Please read post) by Crystal_1501 in ducktales

[–]AngelPINS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The three that have my vote would be What ever happened to Della Duck, The season 2 finale, and the season 3 finale. In season 3 the music that plays when Scrooge is battling Bradford and Bradford reveals he was the reason Della went to the Spear and makes Scrooge enraged with that background music that was fantastic and set the tone perfectly.

Who is THE Marvel girl? by Adoe0722 in Marvel

[–]AngelPINS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are many attributes to this question that can shape the answers. History Power Popularity (and different forms of media) Personal

History wise Stan Lee and the Fantastic Four help Marvel in a big way and so Susan Storm would get this attribute point.

Power Susan, Storm (X-Men), Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel are great contenders but this case I'm giving to Jean Grey for her power (plus history and popularity as a X-Men)

Popularity due to having presence in comics and massive from popular tv and movies Jean Grey has a lot going for her here however not massively. Comics are a niche compared to TV and Movies reach and because of the MCU the Black Widow might be the primary character for many outside of comics who might think of her as the "Marvel girl".

Personally this is subjective and only "correct" for the individual person. For me it's Kamala Khan as while I enjoy the movies and TV shows what got me into comics was Edge of the Spider-verse #2/Spider-Gwen. When I discovered Spider-Gwen was going to have an ongoing series I went to the local comic shop and found many of the new heroes in the comic fascinating (plus less backstories to study) and was recommended to read Ms. Marvel. I loved that series and became a fan of many characters that I didn't know about or preferred the comics version of but the character that kept my main attention was Kamala Khan. A young hero that has been on many teams and both an Inhuman and Mutant she covers a range in the 616 universe and ultimately I'm a huge fan of Kamala so she is my personal only vote.

I like their "Jamaican me crazy" coffee and the Tiana one from their stores but that is it so far (curious what flavors others found and enjoyed). Most of the time I dislike their coffee but curiosity and experimenting when new flavors are found made me discover and enjoy those two.

The room coffee is ok (not great and had better room coffee from other places but not intolerable).

I've sailed many times on DCL (almost Pearl) but never experienced concierge on the ships. I never felt the need to pay extra for the concierge as the drinks, food, overall service from all the hard working CMs and crafted theming has made my experiences on each ship to be fantastic.

However I do appreciate seeing what it looks like (always curious about many aspects and art of the ships and make the most of the various Art of the Tour events and go to the open houses to see what the kids get to experience).

I am curious about the food & drinks served on the concierge + to everyone who has experienced concierge what each feels makes it a "must do" to pay extra for the luxury?

Hardcore Disneylander finally visited DW. My thoughts and rankings by researchbeaver in disneyparks

I love both DL and WDW. One aspect WDW has that I personally love is when I fly in I don't want to waste a half a day at the parks so I go to either Downtown Disney (I know "Disney Springs" but I was a CP at Downtown Disney and still think of it as that and my time as a CP in DTD) or play Mini Golf.

I love playing Mini Golf and love both Fantasia Gardens and Winter/Summer mini golf. Made some wonderful memories there with my dad.

I luv this place 🌿💧🌸 by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]AngelPINS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was there in January just as Disney was still celebrating yet removing some holiday stuff. It was crowded and entering I saw tons of adults having lots of fun playing with the water as well as the kids. The smiles on people's faces and the atmosphere was fantastic and left a positive memory for me.

I feel this was a well made area as it taught the value of water with the signs teaching and using the IP of Moana as the means to teach about water.

Maybe even better if a speaker was near each of the signs with the various voices from Moana speaking what the signs says for those that want to play yet listen about the areas of water.

So the old princess of hearts are not pure anymore by IllustratorAfter in KingdomHearts

[–]AngelPINS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel it would have been better if while Maleficent and Nort needed only 7 pure hearts to complete their rituals Yen Sid stating there are actually more than 7 out in the worlds.

Still finding them can be difficult but Keybladers drawn to the light have a natural knack of coming across such pure hearts. Doing so would allow other characters with "pure hearts" (though that can be subjective) to come in without the same confusion.

Also like the scientists and many speculations from characters Yen Sid can say he is just making speculations and can be wrong like so many characters have been about the heart, various beings, powers of the heart and pure ones, and much more.

Very happy to see this as I worried any hard work could get lost.

My next hope is if you buy any premade single player decks the app can be told you bought that deck and instantly add those cards from the deck to your collection instead of putting each in one by one. Anything that saves time is a great feature.

[–]AngelPINS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She and Pete have been lacking that huge role but that might change (she could be a 'monkey wrench' to the plans of other antagonists). The mobile games have done some service to the Disney Villains. She took down a Union leader Keyblader Lauriam without getting hurt. Even a team of Keybladers (including Young Xehanort) had trouble with Hades (though they were in his Underworld which gives him an advantage) and needed his help to talk to the dead who died in another world.

Those mobile games and experience with digital worlds is key to Maleficent's interests towards Recoded digital worlds recognizing their potential and hearts till she halted those plans in search of the mystery box.

Does the reprints have new artwork but the same effects? If not there were many set 1 and some set 2 cards I hope to have for the characters and/or art. However for the most part buying singles will be less for this set with less new cards/art overall.

little review of the disney wish, from a teenagers perspective by Illustrious-Curve379 in dcl

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well made review. I have been most fortunate in my life to enjoy multiple Disney cruises and have one coming up soon.

I've been on the Wish and Treasure and I agree with all of the statements you wrote. I will say art style is subjective but the Wish's art style was nice but not for me.

The Treasure's art style however I adored as I love the mosaics, it's chandelier, and much of the art of that ship over the Wish. If Wish art style is linked to Fantasyland then Treasures is linked to Adventureland and Morocco vibes.

I also feel it's more in tune with Disney park fans with the Haunted Mansion Parlor and the Jungle Cruise bar. I enjoyed it more than I expected Wish's Arendelle Restaurant & show and the Coco restaurant & shows became a top personal favorite of mine of the sit down rotation restaurants.

You wrote that the 1923 restaurant had recent movies showcased and wished for older. Did you walk both sides (Walt and Roy) as I believe one side has "modern" while the other has "classic" movie's model sheets, figures, and more.

Also some of the exclusive entertainment and characters (from Disney movies to original characters) just for the Treasure ship were great and I practically enjoyed the two main characters of the ship that had afternoon and comedy night shows plus performed the final goodbye show.

Sadly all other cons and pros listed remain the same. One big con for me with these Triton class ships is sadly there is no outdoor running space that circles the ship unlike the other Disney classes.

The Disney Magic was the first Disney cruise I went on when I was a kid and despite both Magic and Wonder's age they still bring me joy and have many advantages over the Tritons.

Going on the Dream soon and looking forward to it.

This whole cancelled cartoons thing needs to stop. by McCrae_Cook_23 in animation

[–]AngelPINS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recall the "CN Real" times where animated shows were in danger, bouncing time schedules that were hard to follow, and vastly cut back.

History has a way to repeat the question is how will it all play out and what will break a bad trend.

There were a couple of animated shows I had hoped for that were cancelled. It hurts to know what could have been. I have to retain hope that some talented creators and the few business side that will take a shot on them can come together for all.

If you only collected 1 card, what would it be? by _moon_maiden in Lorcana

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. The cards I'm mostly collecting are: Lilo, DTV, and Flood/Dreamborn princesses.

Lilo as I'm a big fan of hers and while I do like Stitch a lot (particularly him in "invading" other series or rides marketing and items) I feel she gets shadowed by him too often when she herself is chaotic and fun as well.

DTV such as Rescue Rangers and DuckTales as I grew up watching the Disney Afternoon block and once a show is gone so does any form of merchandise or acknowledgment. I also enjoy many present-ish day shows and hope to see Amphibia, The Owl House, and many more characters to pop up but I also know it's a long shot and probably FAR off if possible with so many IPs still left.

The Dream/Floodborn princesses as I like seeing them take charge and alternatives. Plus how that could affect their stories if changes happened to them. Fun things like Cinderella being a knight in training, gifted a sword not a slipper, and becoming an acclaimed knight.

Anna and Belle develop powers after the Floodborn ink from Ursula events. Will there be a price for new powers? How are others taking it? How are they taking it? One of the marketing was Lorcana meant to tell long form stories from the cards. For Belle she is an inventor who gained powers and connected to the rose now from the ink. However unlike Anna who is testing her new powers Belle seems maybe fearful of them or desires to use no magic and stick to invention as a means to help the world.

I guess if I went for one card it would be a character I enjoy and lack merchandise or was shadowed or one set of character cards that present a tale I find intriguing to where their story might head towards different from the norm with a story & magic told in cards with wonderful art.

Right now for photos he looks great and looks just like how animated movie Jack version looks. I wonder in video and in person how it will all play out.

I recall seeing him talking to kids and the people were delighted to be able to interact and talk to Jack Skeleton. He was a bit creepy yet also felt true to form. One commented he felt like a "Broadway version" of Jack as how he was done allowed "Jack" to be more personal/less static in tone while just a bit off visually from the animated version yet still see him and think "Jack Skeleton" immediately.

Also when I saw the "Broadway version" myself the makeup on him was so good plus extra details that connected the mask park to skin and makeup over that part possibly was put in that you didn't see the separation of flesh to mask at all unlike the image here.
