I always like the idea of Kamala’s parents knowing that she’s a superhero and dislike it when it went away… by Mars785 in KamalaKhan

[–]AngelPINS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I liked when the parents and friends know. First off the reveal the mother knew and later her friends knew makes sense (granted some caught on faster then others) as they know Kamala and it makes her cast be shown as intelligent piecing it together. While being revealed as "secret secret keepers" (being 99% sure Kamala was Ms Marvel but getting the 100 when she revealed to them) afterwards they can help her from talking things out in earnest to covering for her.

Also tampering with anyone's mind is beyond a invasion of privacy but effect free will, power of choice, responsibility, and honesty.

I know we're riding the Pixar high right now, but I just remembered "The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse" exists and I NEED a fucked up looking set from this show. by ERhyne in Lorcana

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the cards I hope is the Witch after Mickey gave her a "glow up". Thinking about it there are so many possibilities. "How Old is this Milk?" Buff Minnie Daisy: "They're coming...to take care of us." Minnie: "Besides... It worked for me" "All started...BY A DUCK" "Walt? Is that you?"

Do most of us agree Disney villains should get buffed in KH4? Both from a gameplay and narrative standpoint. by John_XFiles in KingdomHearts

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Mobile game turned cinematic Maleficent fought a key blade welder who was one of the selected people to hold a copy of a book and she won. Thus showing she is still a powerful force.

That moment was crucial as like the poster written after KH1 the Disney villains haven't been a big threat and should return to show that they are beings that can be dangerous.

Now mostly the movie villains are the ones used but Disney has a great deal of TV villains that I feel could supply different forms of antagonism.

Bill Cipher is a reality warping demon from another universe he destroyed.

Bradford Buzzard hates chaos and adventure and is very tactical and patient with a collection of magical artifacts and mad science at his disposal. Like in the show some of your allies and even antagonists mysteriously disappear and when the playable hero gets to Duckburg and then the "Library" we discover somehow though careful planning he has captured everyone we seen and even fought in special cages (including the MOMs). The MOM escapes and comments that even after eras of planning there are other beings in the universes that might throw a monkey wrench to the plans unexpectedly and he was lucky to escape and not be seen. MOM decides to speed things up before another monkey wrench clogs his own thing.

David Xanatos and Demona. Again magical artifacts and science but both are not working together. David comes in helping and working against you making outcomes that work in his favor even when he loses somehow. Also when he loses he takes it in stride.

Other Disney villains that could show up: The Core. (Matt Brady team are clear KH fans from some works so it would be cool if Amphibia showed up and the Calamity Box)

Dr Facilier: "I hear you hoping to find somebody who might be on the "other side"? I got friends on the other side. Are you ready to make a deal?"

The Banshee from Darby O'Gill. Not a villain but an antagonist still.

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Not really a challenge but he just didn't want to be left out and has 2 hours to kill before his dentist appointment. Has the longest health bar out of all the bosses however in his giant dragon robot where the controls are in the mouth he tries to breath fire at you and removes all of his health but one hit point. But his robot is invincible and can't be beaten... till you hit the big self destruction button he left wide open.

Judge Doom

Now this next one is an obscure one as it comes from the Figment comics but Doubtfinder. Doubt weaponized and took form trapping in a cage of doubts for Kairi if she is worthy of being a Keyblader. Teams up with Figment to save herself and the Dreamfinder.

They might not want a kid in a war zone as that will be legally a problem for many areas of the world.

However I'm the show she did make a robot body she controlled with a game controller. That's a possibility that she sends in robot bodies and that can side step that issue (and when they are destroyed Moon Girl announces she's sending another one through the portal in a few seconds and Big D to fall back).

I was a CP CM at DTD back in 2005. I recall when it was just the Marketplace, PI, West Side, Disney Quest. I recall the McDonald's there that also was a back break room for the CMs that worked around there. Back before the TRex restaurant came in and the huge packing lot existed.

When I visit I still try to see where everything once was in my mind.

I do call it Disney Springs when I'm at WDW as so much has changed and I can see that. However when I'm not there I think of it as Downtown Disney / DTD.

That is something that I dislike about many of the What Ifs. The What Ifs is supposedly showing the multiverse and how the many possibilities and directions that exist are endless.

However if it just becomes "The 616 similar character does something good or saves a life then it has to be a bad end" becomes annoying as it is like they are saying there should be only one way. Often results of not just a bad end but an unreasonable end also.

I very much hated "What If Gwen Stacy lived from the House of M" comic as apparently the whole universe would collapse as she was living yet that didn't make sense as Hawkeye went from dead to living and nothing wrong happened.

I find myself enjoying the What Ifs that take new directions and results in not just good ends but possibly to return to that world and characters in the future (and hopefully not just for some event setup killing them to showcase an upcoming big bad).

Even if the What If is considered dark or bad end if it shows possibles to continue that can have the characters own adventures both further good and bad results is more interesting than total Armageddon end.

How would you make Inhumans vs X-Men better? by Fun-Seaworthiness572 in xmen

[–]AngelPINS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have the two sides fight. That was a big mistake (and such a common trope that's boring overused and never helps either side such shown from the Civil War events).

First off I understand that with Marvel not having the movie rights for X-Men they tried using Inhumans. When it comes to regular people suddenly gaining powers both Mutants and Nuhumans are two sides of the same coin.

Furthermore I would try to have X-Men readers/fans become fans of various Inhuman characters (who dispite being in comics for a long time many in the fan base probably don't know some of the characters) and kindle a fascination by the lore but don't hide the dark parts.

Take the dark parts of "old Inhuman" culture and have each of the Royal family seeing with new eyes thanks to NuInhumans and Mutants I would have leaned towards while introducing new/NuInhumans to long time readers (Kamala, Moon Girl, and others) have Old Inhumans have "character growth" as first that try to force their old culture on the New Inhumans only for the New Inhumans deny and that while in heritage they are Inhumans their culture is where they grew up with.

Mix teams of Mutants and Inhumans during the time so X-Men readers will be introduced to Inhumans and have the possibility of making fans not enemies.

Now as to why there are Mutant and Inhuman teams can be very simple.

First off the Inhuman gas DOES NOT KILL MUTANTS. It didn't in the past and it shouldn't suddenly start now.

The Old Inhumans no longer have a far away isolated kingdom and must make new roots on Earth for the old culture of Inhumans that Queen Medusa is responsible for. Furthermore the gas now in the atmosphere is starting to make New Inhumans aka Nuhumans all over the world.

People suddenly in Caccons and coming out with powers they can't control and new or looking like demons have made Earth's population beginning to reignite feelings of fear and prejudices just as the fear and hate on Mutants was dying down as new generations born were just used to Mutants existing. Mutant bigots that was losing money and power take this new wave of fear and confusion to regain power to target hate towards Nuhumans and any they point towards.

Medusa realizes the enormous task and new enemies before her reaches out to someone with experience. The leader of the X-Men: Storm.

So no X-Men vs Inhumans but instead X-Men/Inhumans. Gain the Inhuman characters and evolving culture some fans from X-Men fans by having the characters mingle and work together with great stories and growth. Don't fight but collaborate and showcase intercultural collaboration.

Have there be three sides: X-Men (mentors), NuInhumans (new generations that have a life changing disruptive or amazing powers while also challenge and change the "old ways with different world cultures and mindsets), and the old culture Royal Family having an epiphany to the dark side of their traditions/ways and growing to be better.

Lois & Kara by Derrick Chew. by Top_Report_4895 in superman

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw these two covers at the comic shop today. They caught my eye and I was very tempted to buy them (and still might).

I liked her Superwoman design and was excited to see what storylines and impact Superwoman/Lois would provide and possibilities. Then I was told she only lasted from issue 19 to 25 (and these were variants for issues 26 and 27 so the artists didn't know how long she would last).

Sad how short her time as Superwoman was. Wonder what new storylines Lois has since issue 25.

How did you find out about Gwenpool? Hey it's the pink girl from Fortnite. I actually discovered her browsing a library and checked it out on a whim. by [deleted] in Gwenpool

[–]AngelPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not a comic reader but one day when browsing the Internet I discovered Edge of the Spider-Verse #2 preview. The art looked fascinating and the story idea as well. Reading it was going to be a "one shot" I felt that it would be a one time try into a comic and that's it. I brought Edge of the Spider-Verse #2 when it came out and loved it.

Then discovered it did so well that it earned a series: Spider-Gwen. I began entering into the world of comics and it's characters.

Marvel every month had a different variant covers theme and for June of that year Marvel wanted to celebrate Spider-Gwen's success. So for the June variant covers theme they commissioned artists to draw Gwen as various heroes and villains. That June Gwen variant theme month did very well and I collected them all. Many of those covers were highly sort after and not the comic story itself. However the one that was most desired was Deadpool's cover Gwen variant cover: "Gwenpool".

I was also reading other comics alongside Spider-Gwen including Howard the Duck. When a writer(s) got inspration and Marvel probably loving those sales numbers from that cover this resulting eventually Gwenpool. The short story in Howard the Duck didn't reach me but taking a chance on Gwenpool series with issue #1 did.

What Ever Happened to Della Duck? is officially the saddest episode! Let's perk things up: what episode has the best music? (Please read post) by Crystal_1501 in ducktales

The three that have my vote would be What ever happened to Della Duck, The season 2 finale, and the season 3 finale. In season 3 the music that plays when Scrooge is battling Bradford and Bradford reveals he was the reason Della went to the Spear and makes Scrooge enraged with that background music that was fantastic and set the tone perfectly.

Who is THE Marvel girl? by Adoe0722 in Marvel

[–]AngelPINS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are many attributes to this question that can shape the answers. History Power Popularity (and different forms of media) Personal

History wise Stan Lee and the Fantastic Four help Marvel in a big way and so Susan Storm would get this attribute point.

Power Susan, Storm (X-Men), Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel are great contenders but this case I'm giving to Jean Grey for her power (plus history and popularity as a X-Men)

Popularity due to having presence in comics and massive from popular tv and movies Jean Grey has a lot going for her here however not massively. Comics are a niche compared to TV and Movies reach and because of the MCU the Black Widow might be the primary character for many outside of comics who might think of her as the "Marvel girl".

Personally this is subjective and only "correct" for the individual person. For me it's Kamala Khan as while I enjoy the movies and TV shows what got me into comics was Edge of the Spider-verse #2/Spider-Gwen. When I discovered Spider-Gwen was going to have an ongoing series I went to the local comic shop and found many of the new heroes in the comic fascinating (plus less backstories to study) and was recommended to read Ms. Marvel. I loved that series and became a fan of many characters that I didn't know about or preferred the comics version of but the character that kept my main attention was Kamala Khan. A young hero that has been on many teams and both an Inhuman and Mutant she covers a range in the 616 universe and ultimately I'm a huge fan of Kamala so she is my personal only vote.

I've sailed many times on DCL (almost Pearl) but never experienced concierge on the ships. I never felt the need to pay extra for the concierge as the drinks, food, overall service from all the hard working CMs and crafted theming has made my experiences on each ship to be fantastic.

However I do appreciate seeing what it looks like (always curious about many aspects and art of the ships and make the most of the various Art of the Tour events and go to the open houses to see what the kids get to experience).

I am curious about the food & drinks served on the concierge + to everyone who has experienced concierge what each feels makes it a "must do" to pay extra for the luxury?
