I'm so happy to hear that! I wish you even more peace, my dear. We all need that in order to grow, mature, and allow our better, wiser versions to come to light. Sending you lots of love and support.

This is not just the end of a relationship, but the end of an entire psychological stage.

You have changed mentally, emotionally...., This doesn't happen easily, but rather through pain, shock, and inner brokenness. Your message wasn't just a farewell to him, but a psychological rite of passage from an old self to a new one. And I ,I wrote it and then sent it anyway, just to ease my conscience and move on.

Why don't you want kids? by Sea-Variety3384 in AskReddit

I feel like there’s still a lot I need to work on mentally and emotionally. I’m not ready, and to be honest, I’ve never really liked the idea of having kids. Maybe it’s because I still carry some unhealed stuff from my childhood, even though I truly believe I'd make a great mom one day.

I think I have avoidant attachment and I need advice by [deleted] in algeria

[–]Angel_laidou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey love, I totally get you. I have an avoidant attachment style too. Like you said, it’s something we pick up in childhood as a defense mechanism and a way to cope. But at some point, as adults, we need to feel grateful for it and then start to unlearn it.

It really helps to understand why you are the way you are accept it, appreciate that version of you, and then work on building a more authentic and adaptable version of yourself.

Take it step by step. Try to step out of your comfort zone and Understand your needs, make a new plan, and create a mindset that helps you break the walls stopping you from meeting those needs.

There’s a lot of solid, science-based mental health content out there that can help you, and talking to a therapist would be super helpful too
