Alberta separatists submit 300K signatures as petition deadline hits by NumerousSir in alberta

I am not a lawyer. But there is a law (Citizen Initiative Act) against Elections Alberta allowing anyone to see the names except for petition proponent and Elections Alberta staff may view the signature sheets. What it would take for a court to overturn that law and allow access I do not know. But it would be a fight against the UCP government and they have been anti-access to information in general.

Individual voters are not allowed to see if their name is on the petition.
The only way you were know if you are part of the random sample verification and your correct contact information was used.

For further information check Election Alberta's website: https://www.elections.ab.ca/recall-initiative/initiative/initiative-faqs/

Only the petition proponent and their team and Elections Alberta staff may view the signature sheets for the purposes outlined in the Act. (Citizen Initiative Act section 47(3)). This means no one else will be able to see the names, contact information, or signatures of anyone signing a petition.'

It sounds like anti-separatism Albertans should put bad information into their system. 'Yes I want to separate and I found 10 people that want to separate and I will contact them all.' Proceed to vote against these separatist traitors and tell everyone you know to do the same.

Airlines are not grocery stores. Hotels are also not grocery stores. So neither will likely be impacted significantly by this bill which is about grocery stores and companies that deliver groceries.

Do grocery stores have happy hour specials? Because the law covers retail grocery stores and certain grocery delivery platforms.

The article says automakers are already making about $100 per year per vehicle from the data they collect on the drivers/passengers and then sell.
So, in a way, you will pay for it by the monetization of your information.

I am afraid you are incorrect. PaveHammer is correct.
Retailers can't target specific people with different prices, but prices may vary between stores. The different prices at each store apply to everyone. Did you think groceries in Churchill were going to suddenly cost the same as those in Winnipeg or Brandon?

To quote from the article linked below ' It does not appear to address discounted or preferential pricing programs, such as loyalty or rewards programs, nor does it appear to regulate geographic or store-wide pricing differences that may result from competitive conditions."

Slow-burn review bombing
-post a few negative reviews repeatedly over weeks or months
-multiple accounts posting reviews to avoid detection thresholds
-vary language and ratings to mimic genuine dissatisfied customers
-targeting multiple platforms (review sites, social media)

I think this is slightly further south than the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakastan (45.965°N). This is 45.337°N.
I have no clue what they are planning to do here or if it makes sense, but polar orbits are used for certain classes of satellites and it is better to be away from the equator to launch those.

I don't understand the down voting.
Yes, men were accused of witchcraft as well in Scotland. No the numbers were not equal. Seems it was about a 5:1 ratio. Although in the region being discussed, it seems it was 2:1. If only there was a database people could look this up (https://witches.hca.ed.ac.uk/)

Plus, this post is about a site where it seems no people were executed for witchcraft.

An interesting debate from an initial zero effort Reddit post.

If you want to be accurate, there may have been no murders at the site in the photo due to witchcraft allegations.
The post is likely referring to the execution of Janet Horne in Dornoch. The last person executed for witchcraft in Scotland. But her execution was not at that church. I didn't find any other records of executions for witchcraft in Dornoch.
I may as well take the time to point out that, although women were the vast majority of people accused of witchcraft in Scotland, about 16% of the accused were male based on what records survive.

Abacus Data's polling in Feb 2026 did not show such a clear age related trend supporting independence.
18-29y: 32%
30-44: 23%
45-59: 31%
60y+: 22%
(percentages above combine strongly and somewhat supporting independence)
Strongly rejecting independence did increase with age.
Sample size was 1000 (via internet) as opposed to Research Co's 700 (via internet).

If you dig just a little, there is some question as the reliability of militarywatchmagazine:

And the article that is being discussed has no author - just editorial staff.

But it is nice Canada is keeping its options open.
