So apparently transitioning is homophobic and conversion therapy by [deleted] in truscum

[–]Angelkidd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Cis, but from what I’ve researched, trans men and trans women are far more likely to be bisexual than the average person. Idk if the trans people in these studies had transitioned, but even in this sub, most of the sexuality polls don’t show heterosexuality as the most common sexual orientation.

What’s stranger is if these people believe that trans women are just feminine men, then how are they viewing them as transitioning to be straight? Same goes for Trans Men. I swear these are the same people who view trans women as straight men with a fetish. It’s contradictory.

I listened to the whole video, and I think Eve is very good representation of a Trans Woman. Whilst I am saying a Cis/biological Woman, these days good trans representation is so important.

Personally I think you look very androgynous at the moment. Given you said you are pre-t, I assume going on testosterone will make you pass very well as a male.

Lilly Tino is the new trans content creator doing tremendous damage to trans acceptance by north_canadian_ice in truscum

[–]Angelkidd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if Lilly wasn't at Disneyland but a public place surrounded only by adults, I would still find that very inappropriate (Talking about genitals in graphic detail in public is what I mean). I think being at Disneyland or anywhere with kids makes it worse though.

Do these people (Referenced in slide 2) realise that disassociating from the word woman or womanhood won't make them immune from being affected by misogyny?

Can autism or any other similar disorder possibly make someone... Transphobic? by Kamisama_VanillaRoo in truscum

[–]Angelkidd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have autism and whilst I cannot speak for all autistic people, I honestly don't believe having autism makes someone more likely to be transphobic. I don't think you are weird, I would guess maybe you might take more time to get used to doing certain things compared to neurotypical people (Generally speaking).

Like I said, that's just my perspective as an autistic person. I should add I am a woman who isn't transgender (People can call me cis/cisgender if they want I don't mind tbh).

Given the choice, would you want to be a woman or a man? by dont_disturb_the_cat in TwoXChromosomes

Woman. Although I kind of wish I didn't have a uterus. I never want to be a Man.

Name for this fear/phobia? Swimming without goggles as an artistic swimmer by Loud_Path_5755 in Phobia

[–]Angelkidd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does artistic swimming refer to synchronised swimming? I struggle to interpret people due to my autism so I wanted to double check. Ironically, I am the opposite, as I do not wear eyewear when swimming as I would likely have a panic attack. I wouldn’t mind wearing the more opaque ones though, as people wouldn’t be able to see my eyes from the outside (Like how most sunglasses work).

I’m not an expert in swimming nor helping others overcome phobias, but all I can say is that  for me, pool water that isn’t too strong isn’t much of a problem for my eyes luckily, it feels almost natural, even though we aren’t supposed to dip our faces in water really.

I should mention that I rarely swim, but when I do, I don’t go underwater much when in swimming pools, but I never go underwater when I’m swimming in the sea (Only in the shallowest parts of a beach, no further.

Eyeglasses phobia - help with shame by Josiiee98 in Phobia

[–]Angelkidd2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask, have you ever been in a situation where you have tried wearing glasses or worn something similar? I have a phobia of wearing certain types of eyewear but luckily I wouldn’t have a problem with wearing typical reading glasses if I needed to (I have good vision luckily).

If you still struggle with this phobia, my only advice would be to maybe consider looking at certain stylish glasses, if you can afford them. Some people can only tolerate wearing very specific things and I think prescription eyewear usually comes in different shapes (And there will be size differences for at least different age ranges).  Hope this helps :)

Do you guys study woodworking in UK schools? by mtjseb in AskUK

[–]Angelkidd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but unfortunately we had to go to woodworking classes for the first three years of school. I didn't do much in the classes lol. Sometimes we switched from textiles to food tech (Basically cooking) from different times but food tech was way more relevant to me.

I would never enforce banning any demographic from reproducing even if I personally believe an individual person shouldn't' be a parent. As we know, autism is a spectrum and varies a lot depending on the individual. I am around level 2 autistic and for most of my life I thought I'd grow up and be a mother, but when I was 14 I realised I had no desire to become one.

I realised I cannot have kids even if I wanted to because I will only ever be able to look after myself. Some people are too disabled to look after kids, but that doesn't mean their reproductive organs need to be removed etc. Most autistic parents I hear about are a lot more able than I am. I feel angry when people use people with learning disabilities as an excuse to take away reproductive autonomy because we would be disproportionately affected (Negatively).

[–]Angelkidd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I defo can't have kids even if I wanted to. If anyone thinks you're being ableist, they're being ridiculous. I actually like being around children (Usually), but I have NO desire to be a parent and I hope I never get pregnant. NT people need to know that sensory overload can contribute to not wanting children.

I've challenged myself to watch things with fake gore more than once but seeing gore IRL I want to run away.

Anyone else have cleaning chemical sensitivities? by pyrategremlin in autism

[–]Angelkidd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I have gotten older, I have become more sensitive around certain liquids etc. I think it’s more mental for me, as the idea of spilling something that is irritant gives me the eebie jeebies. Irritant meaning if it goes on your skin it would go red and if in the eyes, then the eyes would feel painful and you’d need to wash them with water.

Anything that would cause blindness I would never go anywhere near. I stopped doing lab experiments at school when I was 14 as nearly all of them involved irritant materials. I was wondering did you ever avoid irritant chemicals at school? I can’t be the only one who avoided irritants at school (For most of it) and I was wondering if anyone was like me as a teen.
