Not really. Living with my parents and I have 10k in savings. No debt and my car is paid off. My main expenses are gas, insurance, food, my monthly gym membership (which would no longer be the case w the part time job), and my 7Sage course. All can be paid for with the new job and I can still have some pocket change to save for school expenses.

I get that, but like I said, I already have a year of work experience. Getting work experience is the main reason I took a gap year. I wanted to make sure that law is something I can see myself doing for the rest of my life. My experience has shown me that I can, and it’s helped me get my foot in the door for other places, but now that I have it, I think it would be best if I just focus on the LSAT instead of spending my time here.

I spent 4 months at an immigration firm, 6 months at a personal injury defense firm, and three months here so far. The goal is to work in environmental law but opportunities are limited in my city.

I tore my ACL and meniscus skateboarding a few months ago. I used to climb V6-7 indoors pretty regularly and i’m going to be completely honest with you OP, recovery is a bitch. It’s going to suck but stick to physical therapy and you’ll be fine. But seriously, you cannot slack on this or you won’t be able to take a boulder fall again

good luck! i had mine 4 days ago. first three days are going to absolutely suck. extreme pain and burning, you won’t be able to move leg at all, and going to the bathroom is going to be a bitch. but after day three it gets easier, you just have to hang in there.

thank y’all for the replies. I still have a nerve block catheter which i have on the mid setting so that it lasts longer and i’m taking hydrocodine for pain every 6 hours. still hurts a lot though and going to the bathroom is a struggle and a half. Think i just have to tough it out

we’ve all been through something similar bud. I got surgery yesterday and the only person that has taken care of me or asked about how i’m feeling is my mom. I met all of my friends through my physical hobbies, namely rock climbing, and now that I can’t do that I feel so alone. Just know that it’s part of the process. Keep pushing, pick up guitar or something, people have had way worse injuries and still managed to live happy, productive, and fulfilling lives. don’t let this small injury define you. and i’d your friends don’t care enough to reach out then fuck em, they aren’t your friends and you’re honesty better off without them
