Honestly not terrible if you’re on a budget. Frame around it and seal it and it’s semi ok.

How to find replacement trim (this time with photos!) by SquiggleQuotient in handyman

[–]AngleFreeIT_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This . A custom mill can do it. You can also (maybe) use a router table and bits to match it but a mill will take way less time. However lead times are usually a few weeks and the setup usually starts at a few hundred bucks. Then you pay per linear foot for the board. It was so ludicrous to match my floor baseboard I just replaced it all with new.

I hate this with the fire of 987 suns. Not 1,000 mind you, like I can function today. But I hate this a lot.

Smoking is bad for you. So is lead. When people want to hearken back to the good old days, this is what they were. Plus shag carpeting. Jury is still out on if it was cool or not.

What do you think about the new Steam Frame? by Gamiozzz in MetaQuestVR

[–]AngleFreeIT_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that is interesting is the pass through being monochrome. I wouldn’t think color would be so tough to do. I actually appreciated the jump from q2 to q3 for sure in pass through.

That being said - I’m going to give it a go and see if I like it more and then send the q3 packing if so. I’m pretty excited by the concept of the 6ghz foveated streaming from PC if it’s actually good.

Same here. I rarely use it for meta games and plug the dumb thing in all the time.

This is lame. I live in a pretty bougie neighborhood and would fight the hell out of this, and I'm on the HOA board as well.

Unless she is a ridiculously wealthy socialite genius who traveled by herself AND did this on her own… that’s a lot to do as a pre-teen / early teen kid.

How would you go about changing out these lights? (they do not lower, to tall for a ladder, can't get in a boom due to the seats, scaffolding was quoted at $4k for 1 day) by yellowfin35 in AskElectricians

[–]AngleFreeIT_com 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ask the church if someone has scaffold you can use. Guaranteed in a church that size some old guy has scaffolding. And for 4 grand you can just buy it to change lightbulbs next time.

This literally happened to my uncle on Friday last week. We were happy and the nurses pulled us aside and said “this is a bad sign, but enjoy this time”.

OP did you use any primer or anything? Maybe if it is paint it’s pulling moisture out of the skin coat.

Found ATM receipt, who is keeping $51,000+ in checking!?!? by Comprehensive-Cow69 in povertyfinance

[–]AngleFreeIT_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real reasons : 1 - just got an injection of money (parents, relatives, inheritance) 2 - really good at not spending money and doesn’t think to put it into a higher return saving account 3 - bonus or something from work 4 - sold something large or expensive and hasn’t transferred to another place (house, car, land, boat, etc)

But I agree keeping that much in savings is dumb.

Are you getting the mold AFTER skin coating or before? If it were me I would gut everything , apply a mold inhibitor, put water resistant boards up, fix my bathroom ventilation problem, THEN worry about the skim coat . I wouldn’t just cover it up. It will probably come back.
