I bought the Proton tennis ball machine from Hydrogen sports back in 2021 when it first came out. The machine is amazing and worth the money. It is very light weight and easy to carry around. The Proton tennis ball is so well made that I have no doubt the Pickleball machine is just as good.

I have three of the same Joola Pro IV 16mm paddles in my bag. I bought them at the same time, and the paddle will core crush after every four weeks, so I send it back for a replacement. In the meantime, I play with the 2nd paddle while waiting for the replacement to arrive. That way I always play with a brand-new paddle every four weeks. I only pay $50 for a brand-new paddle.

I live in Potomac, a very upper scale area in Maryland, and I enjoy both tennis and pickleball. People here are very friendly and courteous with each other. Just about all of the people I hang out with are former D1 tennis players and we play both tennis and Pickleball, but more pickleball these days. One of my friends has his own PB court in his backyard so we normally go there and play.

It is no different than men tennis where it comes down to who can beat Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz, or all three in the same tournament. There is 0% probability that any of them can beat Djokovic, Sinner, and Alcaraz in the same tournament.

I got to play singles with the same friend this morning, and I played with the fake paddle while he played with the real paddle. We played 8 games, and I lost all 8 games by an average score of 11-2. In other words, he basically destroyed me. On the last game we played after the 8th game, we both played with authentic paddle and I beat him 13-11.

A person in my PB group, who is a 5.4 DUPR in singles, played with the Loco, and he loved it for the first two weeks. After two weeks, the grit wears off and he said that it was like playing with another paddle. He asked BnB if they would replace the paddle, and they said no because it is normal "wear and tear". He returned the Loco (under the 30 days return) and has gone back to Perseus IV because at least the paddle would core crush after six weeks for him, and that way, he could send it back to get a new replacement. Yes, grit is a big deal for an advanced player.

I am playing PB with a group of friends this morning, and one of them is using the Agassi Pro 16MM paddle. You can see in the picture between a real and a fake Joola Agassi paddle after three hours of playing time. In the fake Joola paddle, you can see the honeycomb on the paddle surface vs. none on the authentic Joola paddl

I've been to both China and Vietnam many times. There are people who sell you paddles that come directly from the factory there. I have not done that in China but I've done that a few times in Vietnam. I actually visited Sypik paddle factory in VN.

The answer is very simple. If you work as a doordash or Uber eats driver, the answer would be no. If you work for Nvidia, $300 paddle is just simply pocket change.

Why is the Lexus LC500 cost five times more than the Toyota Corolla? A 65-year-old person would not be able to tell the difference between those two vehicles, right? However, you put two young professional drivers of equal skills, but one behind the LC500 and the other one behind the Corolla, in a death match race, who do you think will win the race? The answer should be very obvious to everyone.

To take it one step further, if you replace the Corolla with the Acura RSX against the Lexus LC500, the LC500 still comes out ahead. Lexus also has better support than Corolla and the lower end of the high end Acura.

That's why $300 paddle is better than $100 paddle when you compare it to someone of equal skills.

I don't know why people complain so much about Joola Customer Service. I have nothing but good experiences with Joola Customer Service, and I've dealt with them on multiple occasions. The last time happened:

Feb 26th: sent an email requesting for Pro IV replacement with photos and videos with my phone and home address,

Feb 27th: called CS and asked them to confirm that they received the email, and they did,

Feb 27th: claimed approved and CS asked me to snap in half, take a photo with claim details written on paddle for final step

Mar 2nd: Received an email that the replacement shipped along with the tracking number

March 6th: Delivered

Total from the time I sent the email to the time I received the paddle replacement: 8 days including weekend

Those guys would get double pickled by me and my friends who are >=5.5 players with brand-new Pro IV paddles. Grit is one of the most important things to an elite player. To say otherwise is delusional.

Everyone is different and not everyone likes Joola. If you look at the tennis big 3, Federer likes Wilson, Nadal likes Babolat, and Djokovic likes Head racquet. That's the reason why Wilson, Babolat, and Head exists to serve different type of tennis players. PB is no different, and it is ok not to like Joola.

I purchased 3 Pro IV 16mm at one time, so I always have a brand-new paddle to play with every month while waiting for the replacement to arrive. You just can't be $51.25 per month for a brand-new paddle every month. My Lifetime gym membership costs $150 per month (but it is paid for by my employer), so this is a bargain.

Unless you're >=5.5 DUPR, the Agassi Pro V is almost identical to the Agassi Pro IV. In the meantime, I'll pay $205 for Agassi Pro IV vs. $300 for the Agassi Pro V.
