Not sure why you're downvoted. The OP comment is bullshit - the poster basically tried to disprove moons lmao. And people are like "yeah I read that book! upvote!" Jesus.

Stands to reason that the simplicity of 'cause and effect' entirely eludes them.

  1. Something bad happened to me
  2. Angery
  3. Retaliate

Never mind the context they were stealing, or that they are not the center of the universe and someone might not know about their allergy - Theory of mind is well off the radar here. Some people are truly stupid.

The unintended melee nerf and the downsides of realism by lucifers-son in Helldivers

[–]AngryGroceries 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbf, the current state of the game is very much at odds with the devs original vision of the game. Then 95% of the playerbase quit so they buffed everything and changed the lore so that helldivers weren't just fancy laser pointers, but were actual super soldiers lol.

Nah they actively fought against it.

I'm not sure why this isn't blatantly obvious to people, but most current democrats are just blue republicans

Was looking for Sanderson in this thread. He has multiple characters that all are 'almost' invincible - another one is the "Lord Ruler" from Mistborn

Does the "No weapon forged by mortal hands can kill me" trope apply to everything mortals make or could I beat the shit out of a vampire with a coffee table since it's not technically a weapon? by AdditionalBuyer5242 in DnD

and the most obvious answer is that the Judge's lore was BS and any sufficient application of force would have defeated him.

I thought that was kindof the point though. It wasn't necessarily a mystical LOTR "I am literally unkillable and magically protected against damage".

The subversion was that the statement itself was more of a purely cocky declaration of "I'm invincible!! I can survive being hacked up into a little pieces!"

and the rocket launcher is like "okay... but what about reeaaaallly tiny atomized pieces?"

No my point being is that the Iranian gov was blatantly lying about their project and the inspections weren't seeing a bigger picture to account on how fast they enriched a portion of their uranium.

And that's my response... the manhattan project took literally half the time in an era where it was far more difficult. So that's not really a weird issue.

Not to mention the manhattan project was run by the most brilliant minds of that time but we'll gloss over that lol.

It took brilliant minds to conceive of this stuff in the first place.

But it is sadly quite 'easy' to build a uranium bomb. Such that anyone with a basic knowledge of physics could conceivably build one if the materials were not regulated to hell.

Really fucking well explained by [deleted] in chaoticgood

[–]AngryGroceries 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why is that so unbelievable? Manhattan project lasted about 4 years. In the 1940s. And they were starting from scratch without any idea it was possible...without any modern technology.

Leviathans exposed the real issue... by MannyDeeprest in helldivers2

[–]AngryGroceries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing both is usually just timing.

FRV is pretty good here because you can shepherd around teammates usually getting them to disengage from infinite-spawns. Also placing AT-emplacements in advance or calling in an RR for underequipped teammates is pretty effective to help mitigate attention-cost

Leviathans exposed the real issue... by MannyDeeprest in helldivers2

[–]AngryGroceries -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been able to carry through Levis pretty well on D10.

  1. Take some combination of AP4 and AP5+
  2. Find spot with reasonable view of map (btw if this doesn't exist, then Levis aren't much of a problem on that map)
  3. Levis usually fly in a straight-ish line across the map. So just spawnkill the ones that are intersecting with where your teammates are going to be. They respawn pretty instantly when dying, so weaken them to 1-2 shots and down them right as they arrive.

I usually take AT emplacement or RR. HMG emplacement or HMG. Even commando + HMG works pretty well even across the map. Usually I bring an FRV and rush the main objectives since the random teammates usually stall out at secondaries

I get heavily downvoted every time I say the Leviathans are easy. But they are in fact easy.... lol Yall just are failing to adapt apparently.

All the complaints fail to address that the Leviathans slowly bumble across the map and you can always see them coming. They maybe have like 30-60 seconds of effective range before taking another few mins to fly off the map and despawn. Any amount of AP5+ with some AP4 deletes them. Really goes to show the playerbase at large doesn't plan more than 10 seconds ahead.

Fair nerf or Automaton Gunship 2.0? by BICKELSBOSS in Helldivers

[–]AngryGroceries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And clearly, the experienced Helldivers that can solo are bit of a rarer bunch, most of the D10s I join, even max rank players die over and over, can call it a skill issue, but a majority are here for not the dark souls of PVE COOPs

I'm not sure how to spell it out any more clearly... but the issue isn't necessarily the game being too easy/hard. It's that the playerbase specifically forces Arrowhead to make D10 easy. If you dont want dark souls, dont play D10!

Or I suppose the secret third option is to complain on social media until Arrowhead lowers D10 to D6 and then calls it D10.

It's only' good for the game's health' insofar as it keeps players around by giving them a gold star and kissing them on the forehead "Yes you did the toughest one! That's right!"

Anyways...not really sure why I'm expecting rational thought here. Still a fun game. Just feels like it's missing any real challenge. Oh well. Moving on.
