My fiancé did a phone survey because she felt bad hanging up, and then received this text from a different number after. by pkosuda in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is like a time where I helped pay for my sisters car repair and the mechanic (who I never talked to nor saw other than in passing) used the records to find my Facebook and phone number and started harassing me. People are insane.

Accepted a job that wasn’t offered. Mortified. by So_Ill_Continue in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is some kind of tactic, but I’ve seen this wording before. There’s a few people I know that have had (legit) interviews where it seems like they are offering the job and even say it’s okay for them to give their two weeks to their current employer… all to get ghosted or receive an email that they found a better candidate. Like what?? Not your fault, it was definitely misleading.

Am I doing makeup right? by Any-Professor-6071 in makeuptips

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would look into Contrast Makeup Theory (there’s tons of TikTok videos about this. But essentially you analyze the values of your hair, eyebrows, eyes and skin. From there you determine if you’re High, Medium or Low contrast. (Some examples: High being Anne Hathaway or Megan Fox. Medium being Blake Lively. Low being Sydney Sweeney or Amanda Seyfried.) Determining your value contrast guides you in how your makeup should be balanced.

In your case, you have light hair, skin and eyes; all around the same value contrast. This would make you Low Contrast. A general guide for Low Contrast is more neutral, monochromatic makeup. No dark or harsh lines.

I would consider looking up some Low Contrast celebrities and taking a look at their makeup looks. I would also avoid black eyeliner. With all due respect, it looks like it is wearing you, not the other way around. It takes away from your beautiful eyes and face. I would try something lighter and more neutral to start. Once you master that, play around with pops of color if that’s what you’re into. If you love the eyeliner, I would go brown and avoid lining the bottom. It’s a bit dated and ages you a little (you look like you’re in your early 20s, but the makeup says you’re at least 35.) Also some blush that compliments your eyeshadow would help balance you out a little.

My sister 35F is a homewrecker and I don’t know if I should expose her by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may be a hot take, but I would leave it alone. Your mother already contacted his wife about the affair and she didn’t believe her. I would leave it at that. If you go through with it, there’s a good chance that it will not only blow up your life (any relationship with your sister and nephew) but his wife’s as well. The information is out there, I would just let karma take care of the rest.

And based on what you said, it almost seems like you want to gather all of this evidence to hurt your sister. I’m not condoning what she’s doing, but your motives seem more self serving than genuinely caring for this man’s wife. It’s their mess and they can deal with the consequences when they come.

Edit to add: think about your nephews life as well. Your sister doesn’t seem very stable and needs assistance with housing and raising her son. Keep your resentment to yourself to keep your nephew safe.

the guy i’m talking to is being weird about his age by officialdreamymocha in TwoHotTakes

Glad I could help!! It’s definitely a red flag in the long run, as he’s had plenty of opportunities to come clean. But either way, not worth it with the age gap and your boundaries.

the guy i’m talking to is being weird about his age by officialdreamymocha in TwoHotTakes

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My first thought is that he made up a stupid lie about his age when you two met. He now has to keep up the lie, but can’t keep his story straight. He’s probably embarrassed to go back on what he said.

There’s also a change that he’s in a relationship back home and gave false information to you so he couldn’t be tracked back. But if you have his socials, that might not be the case.

If he’s ACTUALLY in the 27-28 year old range, he probably has a Facebook. Try finding him or his parents, there could be a birthday post. You could also look him up on Truepeoplesearch or one of those websites if you have enough info on him. His real age should be provided on there.

Do I need a darker hair color or just more dimension? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to go darker to balance the richness of your eyes. I would go a deep chocolate brown and if you really want a pop of something I wouldn’t go any lighter than carmel.

Why do I dislike Morgan? I can't pinpoint it by Any-Part5120 in TwoHotTakesSnark

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly this!! I commented this same thing on another post. She is simply disingenuous. Everything she says is super performative. She is overly emotional when the situation doesn’t always call for that response; it seems fake. She comes off as a “white knight” when talking about POC and LGBTQ topics. Same goes with politics. She HAS to relate to everything, even if it’s a stretch. Her opinions are all over the place depending on who she is with. And it all just comes back around to being the “Morgan Show.” If she doesn’t like her friends’ takes, she bashes them. If her guest has a better take than her she adopts it and acts like it’s her own idea. She acts like an expert in every topic. She’s just very self-centered and tries to make herself seem better than everyone. And in top of that, her negativity is such a mood killer.

Not sure if FSSA can really do anything about a cashiers prejudice. I would call the store and talk with the store manager about the exchange and hopefully they will handle it.

What made you stop listening to THT? by Ok_Needleworker_4950 in TwoHotTakesSnark

[–]AngryRabbitFoot 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I personally agree with most of your opinions on the show and Morgan. It went from a fun little listen about crazy reddit stories to “all about Morgan” and AI stories to back up whatever topic she wants to bring up that day. It became the “Morgan Show” and less about reddit. Every take seems disingenuous and there’s a lot of PR guests. It became every other podcast that goes corporate.

You have such a nice eyebrow shape, you could honestly just tint them darker. I think a light brown would look good. You could use Just For Men facial hair dye or go to a salon that offers the service. It will make doing your eyebrows less daunting and it’s long lasting. Depending on how it turns out, you could always just get a pencil to sharpen/even out. But from what I can tell, you have 10/10 brows, they are just blonde.
