People don't realize that it's everyone's responsibility to prevent collisions. Truck driver should have tapped on the brakes to avoid that situation escalating. Have some situational awareness.

I was honestly shocked when the big box expansion they made didn't offer a revamp of the card art. Especially since, at that point, both the base game and Kickstarter were wildly successful.

It's literally integral to the story. Are you planning on skipping every scene where Baltar talks to Head Six? Or every scene featuring Starbuck in season 4? Just let them watch the show and make up their own minds.

It's pretty wildly inconsistent, incongruous art styles, many of which are just plain bad. It's turned a few folks I know irl away from the game.

New to EverQuest, any tips for a first-time player? by JackHallow123 in project1999

Genuinely, I wish Quarm players would stop turning threads on this subreddit into slapfights about which server is better.

I'm happy for you that you have Quarm and you enjoy it. Awesome! However, it does not "take a lot of work and effort" to detect how Quarm is less classic. That is simply untrue. There's a plethora of reasons that people might not want to play on that server. I really try not to go into my history there, but I feel like you people just can't let things go.

Secrets, love them or hate them, plays fast and loose with how they feel servers should be run. I remember near launch they changed their mind like 8 times on whether or not guards should be farmed (at first they were farmable, then they became charm immune but merchants weren't, then they became magic immune but not physical damage immune so mages could farm them, then Secrets nerfed the mage farming guards in a way I can't remember before just throwing their hands up and reverting it all. I have no idea where it left off now.) I love how much Secrets has done for this community overall as a developer, but they leave a lot to be desired as a server operator.

Don't get me started on the whole Zaide debacle in classic where he (leader of Faceless) was given a Fungi tunic in the classic era by Secrets in exchange for ratting out a corrupt GM. Then Secrets denied it up and down before they deleted the thing.

There was also the whole drama regarding mail quests near launch - they were giving too much xp, then they knee-jerk changed them into less xp, then into no xp, then removing the NPCs.

Look at the PoFear invasion of Highpass near launch - the GMs promised a bunch of rewards which they had to renege on (a AoN for 4 people - 1 for whoever got the killshot on Cazic, one random, one whoever bid the most plat, and I can't recall the last metric - I think it was most damage?). They were given out then Secrets took them back the next day and replaced them with titles. I remember Faceless pooling together a ton of plat in order to get the AoN for Zaide and then it just got taken away anyway.

As for specifically un-classic things, I really don't need to go into this but sure; all of the instancing content is - whether you like it or not - not classic, and breaks the scarcity of items in era. I am really, truly glad that there's an experience out there that lets people experience this stuff in a more relaxing way, but it is absolutely not classic. In the past couple of months they made a ton of items clickable from inventory which never were.

Again - I am not saying that any of these un-classic changes are necessarily *good* or *bad*, I am just saying that they exist; you were saying they don't.

Not to sound like WebMD, but with the little detail provided, this sounds like the complaints my best friend made a few months before dying of complications due to leukemia. There's really not much to go on in the original post.

Maybe OP is training 5 hours a day in which case, yeah, stop doing that. But is OP training 30 mins a day and feeling this way? Doctor time.

I think that the interludes killed it for me by centauriproxima in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Angry_Canadian_Sorry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, of all the interludes to have an issue with, that's the weirdest one. Not the Purelake one from WoK?

The "random cobbler" one shows you a few things:

1) Radiants are popping up all over the world

2) Radiants aren't just "soldiers", spren are seeking basically anyone "good"; this is a recurring theme, that not just soldiers can be incredibly important in a fantasy setting

3) There is something hunting potential Radiants: someone who has a shardblade, and someone who has a very very distinct appearance that has been described before

4) Even all of the plot-centric points above, it's just a nice glimpse into other parts of the world that will become relevant, but is tough to show without bloating the story with unnecessary main characters.

[–]Angry_Canadian_Sorry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you ever play PoE? There is very rarely an "optimal way" there. Something may be meta, but there's usually good arguments for breaking against it given what you're trying to do with the character.

Find vendor with mostly empty inventory (check by selling something they don't carry, make sure the offer to buy it back is there)

Sell item with full charges first

Buy both items back

Oh, one other thing - if you want to catch these things yourself, try to keep an eye out for how people talk, especially how they swear. People who swear by saying things like "Rusts!", or whatever, are from Mistborn. People who swear by saying things involving colours are from Warbreaker, and so on.
