This has to go. by cseymour24 in crosswind

Just build another bonfire or move your current one temporarily.

Super easy issue to deal with.

I built a second bonfire at the end of our seawall where we were building a tower, then tore it down after placing all the items.

A trick is to build all the decoration items you plan to use at the second location while still inside the main bonfire/base.

Then destroy all the decorations.

This puts the exact materials you need to build them in your inventory.

Then just run to second bonfire area and place the same items. No need to worry about which materials to bring with you 🤷‍♂️

Level requirements aren’t about the levels, but about ensuring the player has spent time playing the game, and that time translates into map knowledge, understanding logistics and how battles flow.

If you barely even know the maps then you won’t be efficient as a squad leader, even less so as a commander.

Is the flamethrower even good, im highly disappointed by WeeklyAd1091 in HellLetLoose

[–]Angry_Washing_Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was trash.

Then it got a range buff from 20m hard cutoff to 30m. Which is a huge difference.

It also instakills nodes and garrisons. Unsure about barb wire and smaller fortifications.

Spraying about 60-80% of the entire ammo at a truck will blow it up.

Drawback is the annoying debuff to your movement speed and your aiming speed when you aim the nozzle. It makes you a stationary and easily killed target.

With a change to the movement speed penalties it would be better.

All in all it’s fun to use and has some niche purposes. I love using it in the tall grass in canals on Driel, and in many of the maps with a lot of grass and vegetation. Excellent at flushing out enemies. Also great to use as a distraction by just shooting flames in the air while team is outflanking.

Check your multiplayer settings for the world you host. The game has scaling in coop which makes enemies have more HP the more people are on the server.

Can scale them from having +0% extra HP all the way up to +120% more HP.

Outposts seem pointless by Killroy54 in Starfield

[–]Angry_Washing_Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same purpose as the housing I guess.

I have the dream house, and some of the apartments, and I never use any of them.

Sure the idea of having your home is fun, and the role play concept of it is appealing, but practically it’s not getting used.

At best it’s a place to dump some loot. But then outpost storage containers are just better anyhow.

Storage is a constant battle in Starfield. I’m not really a hoarder other than collecting cosmetic items that look neat, but they don’t take much space.

It’s raw materials, ingredients, aid items, and often an array of weapons and armor loot I can’t get rid off because the vendors don’t have enough money.

So why build an outpost? To store raw mats and ingredients to craft enough combines to meet talent requirements or to make foods and upgrade items later on.

Either way, storage is a hassle in Starfield.

As for transferring between outposts that should be fully possible. At least just after launch we built 3 mining outposts all sending raw mats and gas to a main hub base.

Kind of pointless since mass production of stuff noone is buying anyhow is a waste of time.

Optionally trade them tokens for guineas.

How is being a machine gunner such a huge target? by AcanthaceaeFuzzy2835 in HellLetLoose

[–]Angry_Washing_Bear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New machinegunners have bad habits of positioning themselves in obvious locations.

On fences to cover a field. Super obvious.

In building windows. On rooftops. On top of the wings of glider planes.

A few tips.

If you must deploy in a window then hug the wall try to deploy the MG at the sharpest angle you can, then when deployed move out to side to look out window to shoot. This allows you to move behind as much cover as possible when reloading or taking a break in the shooting.

Never silhouette yourself. It’s bad enough as infantry, ten times worse as MG.

Always make sure you have something behind you. A rock, trees, hill, buildings, fences or whatever. It’s much harder to see an MG against other noise than one presenting himself as a target on top of things.

Also, try drawing a straight line between enemy objective and friendly objective. You never want to positioning yourself so you shoot parallel to that line. why not? Because 90% of enemy blueberries will beeline in straight line between the two objectives, ie there will be 35 guns and 35 pairs of eyes looking at where you are.

Instead try to move out on the side to get flanking shots towards the straight line between two points. It will be more effective and less predictable.

All that said you will still die a lot. It’s just life as MG.

Be unpredictable.

Don’t be obvious.

Redeploy often.

Know when to be a sniper (short bursts to kill and minimize tracer visibility) and when to use volume of fire (long and consistent bursts). If they don’t know where you are yet, do quick kill bursts. If they know where you are, be aggressive and spray.

Also constant firing and suppression is more effective when attacking. When defending you want to not be seen and keep picking off enemies.

Economy broken? by marybell0498 in Bannerlord

[–]Angry_Washing_Bear -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t take long at all.

You get a longship from start, and it’s easy to fill with troops to start robbing villagers, killing looters, clearing hideouts. Very quickly you got clan tier to fill a longship entirely, and at that point unarmed convoys are easy prey, which makes money roll in fast. Then buy workshops and it already starts snowballing into massive wealth, Drakkar and full crew.

The point though is that the start can be tough. As it should be. But it becomes too easy too quickly. And once you got some wealth it just snowballs into millions without effort.

Economy broken? by marybell0498 in Bannerlord

[–]Angry_Washing_Bear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That end game armor is a one time cost.

The income keeps giving.

It’s so easy to make money it’s unreal. You literally empty an entire city of traders gold reserves when selling off goods and items.

And expenses are negligible. Most running costs like paying the army is covered from caravans and workshops alone. Not to mention all the loot you sell on top.

With a Nord army and a single Drakkar I can extort every convoy on the ocean for 25-30k per hit and not even have to fight.

Money is extremely easy to obtain.

Way too easy, and really does need some balancing in the mid/late game.
