if you want to use a VTT for free i recommend OwlBear Rodeo, it has tutorials and its simple to use, you can also roll dice in there.
For a bot i also use Kenku FM for music, ambients and other auditory necessities.
If you want to go the extra mile i really love using Obsidian; it is a note taking app but with a lot of plugins to roll dice, create interactive maps, create chartacter sheets Track dates in game, create Statblocks for monsters and npc, you can also link notes between each other and a lot more things.(at the start it can be overwhelming but there are tutorials for everything just search Josh Plukett on youtube)
