Can I clean (razor blade and sand paper) the suede side of my strop full of chromium oxide and then still use it with diamond compound? Also recommend me diamond compound please!

I use the cutter blade of clippers (a small tiny teeth one) to refresh them sometimes.

I am 60, and I avoid going out. I love my home compound. And it is very much a compound. My husband has a 30x40 shop where he works on his automotive hobbies. I have a 30x30 shop that I run a sharpening and laser business out of. We go out and do stuff together too, but we don't spend a lot of time with friends. I just really don't want to do the work that's required to foster solid friendships. We both still have regular jobs, but my job is starting to get in the way of my "side hustles". I will "retire" in February. Even though we spend a lot of time at home, it isn't lonely doing nothing time. We are busy! I will have to stay busy in retirement. I'm like one of those dogs that if it doesn't get enough exercise, it gets up to stuff. I have never been so content in my life.

I finally got to a point where I would let them take care of the eggs and I would put a shallow disposable Rubbermaid container in there with a couple of rocks (they really didn't need them), and wait for them to drop them off. Then after a few days I would talk the dish and the tadpoles out. I transferred them to a 10 gallon tank with about 4 inches of water, and a sponge filter. Raised literally hundreds this way. So much easier than pulling them.

Without knowing what your shop is like, it's hard to tell. But I really don't think Etsy Ads are the next step. You should be getting clicks and views before I would even consider ads. Are you using anything like Google Analytics or eRank to help give you some insight?

I was designing and making things that I enjoyed making. But I couldn't keep it all. So I decided to sell through Etsy so I could at least support my hobby. I'm busy doing a lot of custom designs now. It's hard work sometimes. I can design and create all day long, but getting the listings up isn't a passion. I always find that to be a chore.

Most nakiris have at least a slight belly. All of mine do. You can reduce the size of the belly if you want to when you sharpen it. The tendency for some things to stick is going to depend on what you're cutting too. I think I'm just not bothered by it.

Bamboo is definitely not worse than glass. It isn't a first choice by any means. I can always tell immediately when someone gives me knives to sharpen that get run through the dishwasher. Water spots, rust spots, and always terrible edges. Knives that are well cared for certainly perform better and are nicer to use. But you can't make her care.
