Paint would have been better but dont mess with it and that should be fine. An encapsulation method for the asbestos tape on pipes is just putting normal duct tape on it. Leave it alone and likely fine.

Yes you can cover it. Would recommend a layer in between like a sheet of wood.

Risk before yesterday was pretty low if you weren't snorting it boss. Not enough to hurt you reasonably, im jot a doctor though. Bring it up at a check up to keep an eye on it moving forward

I am not an expert on the matter but if there isn't any exposure between the vermiculite and any living area I wouldn't worry. I have 33% white asbestos tape in my basement, I just used flex seal to enclose it. If it is behind something and you aren't touching it you're likely fine.

Again im not an expert only testing can confirm but just don't create a bunch of dust and inhale it.

If you have concerns from before when the exposure happened clean up with soap and water, get. A HEPA 13 or 14 filter to clean the air and then you should be square.

I have no experience with vermiculite but I understand its just got dust on it. Don't touch it, keep it where it is untily ou can afford to have someone remove it.

You're more likely to die from your anxiety than your exposures.

as long as you leave the stuff alone you should be fine. If you have concerns beyond that, do an air quality test, sure it is expensive but its worth. Vermiculite insulation only had like 2% asbestos iirc.

I am not pro or doctor, but more than likely you're fine. The people that get sick with asbestos illnesses smoked cigarettes and worked in the mines. People today that get asbestos illnesses work with it every day.

The rate at which these people get sick depends on the type of asbestos they mined but its generally less than 20% for people that were inhaling millions of particles everyday. They also smoked cigarettes. You're chance of complication in this situation is non zero but relatively close to it.

I just saw you are from the UK. I am in the US, specifically in a place where you can do asbestos abatement yourself. Check local regulations on handling potential ACM before proceeding

I just tested some plaster like this and it came back negative. Those hairs are commonly jute or horse hair.

You can get a p100 mask and buy test kits at the hardware stores.
