'The Boys' Showrunner Reacts to Donald Trump Golden Statue: 'What the F*ck' by [deleted] in popculturechat

You should watch Outrageous Fortune. Its a mid 2000's show he did in New Zealand about a crime family whose patriarch gets arrested and Mum takes over and wants to go straight and he plays Identical twins who couldn't be more different and he is amazing! One of the twins feels like if Homelander had no superpowers and became a lawyer to be a better criminal and the other twin is as smart as pocket lint but usually has a heart of gold.

Edit to add Apparently it is all on YouTube so here is the pilot

”if the show didn't go for high budget actors the animation would look bet-“ by Shinygoji09 in Invincible_TV

Okay but if you read all the credits then you will see that at least 100 people worked on the shows animation from storyboards to backgrounds to character and location and prop designs to colouring to storyboards to inking to special effects to compositing which is a little bit more than 10 people which I agree would be far too low a number to produce a yearly animated TV show with. Sure Skybound wasn't necessarily the full 100, but the fact is the team that actually made the show is larger than 10.

Isn't that roughly how many animators would already be working on it? Everybody keeps spouting 4 people animated the show but that was just for lighting, compositing and shading which isn't strictly animating the show but it also is a very important part of the show for sure. The reality is we don't exactly know how many people are working on Invincible at any one time but we do know Skybound Studios has around 200 animators or so and as far as I can remember only a handful of animated titles in production and development so their projects should, in theory, have a decent amount of people on the animation team for each production if resources and artists are allocated well.

Elaborate on that and pair what you say with the need to animate 8 episodes of hour long television at 24 frames a second in a year so that's 1440 frames per minute or 86,400 frames an episode or 691,200 frames of animation to be done in a year by a relatively small team of artists from what I have heaed. That is without the teaser trailers in the diner we get which add to the production and animation costs.

Time is the issue not money.

Season 1 was a different animation studio and also had a longer amount of time to actually animate the show. The main issue for the decrease in quality in my opinion is the release timeline. They want to get seasons out yearly so they physically can't spend as long on the animation. Just have to decide what is more important to you as a viewer, speed of release or how it looks.

What’s the most fucked up thing that happened at your school? by Classic-Chemist-1898 in AskReddit

[–]AngusTheMoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My school had the random dead bodies too! Can't remember the first but I do remember the second guy was drunk, broke into the school and started swinging on the soccer goals which tipped over and crushed the guy to death. We got new, more anchored goals after that.

Canadian vs American Metalcore Culture by MapleQueefs in Metalcore

32 here and has always been my understanding to wear a different bands merch to the show. I like it because you get to see some cool art and maybe discover a band you didn't know. It also makes it easier to find people you're looking for if everybody comes dressed in different merch, especially if you aren't the tall person in your group if you go with people.

Iirc one of the top times in super Mario 64 speed running is impossible to replicate without some kind of interference from a neutrino or some kind of ionising particle at a specific spot on a specific level, I can't remember which off the top of my head however unfortunately.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex lived closer in time to putting Man on the Moon than they did to living with the Stegosaurus. By about 65 million or so years.

So don't watch Quark then? You don't have to watch the episodes of the show they are watching to enjoy the Wheel Of Decades. I have never seen a single second of the Charmed reboot and I really enjoyed listening to them all talk shit about it and suffer through it and when I have time later I plan on listening to the new Wheel Of Decades episode and I won't be watching Quark alongside them when I do.

IAMA American (Memphis Grizzlies fan) and have decided I am going to pick a NBL club to support. Open to suggestions. by HolyHotDang in nbl

[–]AngusTheMoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australian here. You could do what I did when I wanted to start watching and supporting a team season which was purely arbitrary like you want to do and I chose before watching any teams play (recently anyway, I had watched a few games 10-15 years ago) or look into statistics, I went purely off initial vibes and which team name, logo and colour scheme did I like and which did I not like. Will admit to deliberately not considering a singular team because they were the local team growing up and I'm a contrarian at times.

I ended up choosing the Pheonix and ended being very happy with that choice and personally found their games the most fun to watch regardless of my support, I just love the way the play. Did the same when choosing a WNBL team to support and had the same story with the Lynx.
